  • Maybe if Freddie Smith's mom didn't leave him all alone in a park in the middle of a bustling city while she went home and did crack and prostitution, he wouldn't have this dilemma. 5 people have green and blue horizontally striped shirts.

  • Little Freddie Smith was RUDE AS HELL and unappreciative of the help Grover crash landed just to offer..

"It's, it's only super Grover. As I was saying"

  • I prefer Super Goof.

  • Grover is stupid he could have known better than to bend the bars.

  • SOUP HER GROVER!

  • "smarter than a speeding bullet" LOL

  • if u click 8 it sounds like he is saying the fuck are you doing out.

  • smarter then a speeding bullet...

  • grover is the best. I was super grover for halloween once too!

  • MERCY ME AHH!!!!!

  • "good? it is an adorable idea."

  • I always loved Grover. He was my favorite, and still is. He had a smart, caring, and a sort of self-depreciating way about him that made him more loveable, I think.

  • @TheLadyBugg8 I don' tknow how Elmo became the star....he's too juvenile and annoying. I like the sort of whit the other monsters have. Cookie has been great in interviews, kermit always, grover of course :)

Henson and company really REALLY knew how to entertain, inform without being too juvenile. It's like they didn't take the intellect of the kids watching for granted.

  • He means well, but he makes such a mess of things. How can you not love super grover.

  • I guess unlike Superman, SuperGrover was not given super strength. What powers was Grover given other than flying?

  • Well, according to the book "The Exciting Adventures of Super Grover", he has x-ray vision, super-breath, super-speed, super-hearing, and super-smell. Does that answer your question?

  • Sure, now lets see him use those powers in one of these segments.

  • and he is cute too, LOL!

  • and the mysterious knack to help super models out of their lingerie and achieve super orgasms. His ace in the hole, pun not intended.

  • come on...he just pulled the iron bars apart to let out freddy the helpless muppet

  • Super Grover would later try to bend the bars again in the "Follow That Bird" movie. Do you think he did any better then?

  • yeeeeeeesssssssssssssssssssss!

  • one of my favourite skits

  • SuperGrover was always my favorite. And waiter Grover was always a riot too.

  • Super Grover is so fucking trippy.XD

  • Hacksaw? I think he needs the cute little jaws of life.

  • gotta love those Super Grover entrances

  • WHOA this took me back live hella years

  • That really took me back. I love it!!

  • LOL 3:24!!!!!!!!!

  • ever notice that SuperGrover is the same voice as Yoda??

Thank you Frank Oz. Would love to see Yoda do the Near/Far bit.

  • Actually, it is Miss Piggy's voice. So very awesome. I remember these from the 70's. Grover is the best.

  • @LordNth Not just SuperGrover. Regular Grover has Yoda's voice too.

  • ha ha ha ha

  • Aw, what cute facial expressions by Freddie!!

  • That Super Grover really needs to get an education, don't you think?

  • Super Grover IS the education.

Know what strikes me? That the kid was at a playground without supervision. I don't suppose society allows that anymore, even if some parents might like to. Not so long ago, it was normal for little kids to run around on their own all day.

  • *Sigh* good times, good times.

  • At one time, mothers would leave their kids alone outside the supermarket (with the older ones watching the ones in the baby carriages). I've seen ads from the 1950s, showing this.

Even the Monty Python "Hell's Grannies" sketch makes a reference to Baby-Snatchers outside a supermarket.

  • Thank you so much for bringing this Super Grover video back. Why was this video removed to begin with? Thanks again. :)

  • wasn't this already posted?

  • Something tells me that Freddy Smith is performed by Jim Henson.

  • Yes, Freddy Smith was voiced by Jim Henson. Hope this helps. :)

  • @califgirl1

    Yep :)
