The sad thing is that tody's Pop music audience (spoiled teens with the intellect of a baboon) have no understanding of or appreciation for great, deep lyrics like those written by Dylan or other great songwriters of the 60s/70s like Paul Simon, Bruce Springstein and others. 90% of today's music is total rubbish - singers who can't sing singing lyrics and melodys that aren't worth singing, backed up by players who can't play - pathetic!

What strikes me is how closely it actually follows the original - listen to the lead licks especially. The original is amazing, one of the few rock songs that has a whole book written about it, all to itself, and deserves it. I love Jagger's voice on this - always felt the Stones should have a crack at it - but they didn't do as much with it as Hendrix did .All the same - great version. Thank you.

Having said that this is an excellent song. But it was written by Bob Dylan after all.

Im not against the Stones carrying on all this time. I just wouldnt go to one of their gigs, simply because they arent the force they once were.
