  • Is that metal

  • Did you just lose your voice before the recording?!

  • Comment removed

  • Love to watch your stuff, not always the most practical but that isn't what it is about, it is always fun and entertaining to watch ^^

  • I have a question. Why does she use fingers when she spins the staff?

Using fingers significantly improve the spin velocity but despite this fingers don`t serve any good.

When using fingers the risk to lose control increase and there is a high probability to harm your hand if an opponent blocks the spin at such high speed.

I just want to hear your/her opinion on this:).

  • @dredknight The demonstration is more for entertainment rather then practical application.

    80% fun 20% practical.

  • @OMFGHUGEWOLF thanks !

  • Women gots skills dont be too jealous!!!1

  • a show off, not a combatant

  • What is the Length & width of that Bow?

  • @masterbhushan It is called a toothpick bo. It is about 5.5 ft and is pretty narrow even in the middle.

  • @karatevideoguy From where cud i get it.

  • @NostalgiaAttack

A good style to start out with Bo is Isshinryu karate. It is one of the only martial arts in which Bo is actually standard curriculum. Also, when you take up a martial art, it's never a hobby. It's a new way of life.

  • she has to show of her trofies

  • I dont give a fuck what anyone says, 99% of the comments here are from movie buffs who sit on their fat asses. Lets see at least one of you post a video to show your "skill". Regardless of any "style" , would you walk into any of those strikes? She is a machine, and I can tell you from personal experience it take years to be that fast and accurate.

  • а девочка то молодец

  • there s no martial arts in malabarism, what she do is a same thing a circu do soleil artist do or any other performer does,is a matter a fact some call karate competitors and championships in america seems to be so silly and far away from real karate in japan or other countries,im sorry i just say what is true, any real martial artist will agree, but we all know real martial artist dont surf on the web or watch you tube, the prefer to training...

  • This is impressive, though it seems to be all about show. I always preferred learning the Shaolin staff forms. You get the show, while also getting some pretty effective moves. I mean, what purpose does throwing the staff in the air serve? Don't get me wrong, I'm still impressed, and I would never challenge her in a staff forms competition. I'd lose! Maybe I should keep my comment to myself. After all, this is simply a video on staff demo, not on staff combat.

  • whatever not good!!!

  • if i wanted to learn this what type of school do i go to? karate? tae kwon do? judo? chinese kempo? i dont really wanna fight, maybe practice and stuff as a hobby.

  • i'm not a martial artist but this is one of the most beautiful things i've ever seen

  • Martial arts is about defence, training, art and respect. if you don't respect it, than you might as well kill yourself cuz it means you don't have respect for yourself and others. the clue in this sport is that you can kill your opponent easy, quick, and fancy ;)

  • i love how her voice is so strained she can barely talk, yet she still dedicates herself to shouting out while performing moves :D btw im pretty sure @StL33T the belt is hers and if it was her fathers, it'd be a great honor to wear it and add more history to it :D

  • LOL! It looks a lot like cheer camp my ex used to go to!

  • The yelling is kind of annoying, honestly. She sounds like she's losing her voice, too.

But yeah, I agree with what DerStand said earlier, there's a lot of frill technique in there.

The twirliness looks completely useless in actual combat. The bo would probably go flying out of your hand if you hit any sort of obstacle while twirling.

I'd rather learn to use a Bo like Neo used a pole against the Smith clones in the Matrix :o

  • owwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwnd is whut i think anyone would get if they messed with her asome vid ma'am

  • I kinda like her voice. She emphasizes all her moves with a yell.... Her voice lets me know she kicks a plethora of butt.....

  • i think that her dad is friends with Joe Anon he was the instuctor of my sensei

  • ur vioce makes my throat hurt

  • OWGHHHHHH

    !!!

  • I want her to protect me while I sleep LOL

  • lol...metal.....smh

  • hahaha she is SO SCARED see the first trick in full speed she closes her eyes haha :D

  • this is not traditional XD this is just useless,

  • @FreeRunner5000 Just becasue it is not "traditional" you say it is useless. That is a very narrow minded statement and one that comes from ignorance.

  • @karatevideoguy i know how to spin a bo staff, i can do it quite well, there is NO application for SPINNING a staff, ignorant? yah when you know nothing about a person you shouldn't call them ignorant

  • @FreeRunner5000 Video by world champion Jennifer Espina, comment by random youtube douchebag.

  • She is good!

  • you know she got good yells if she talkin like that

  • how many times did you clear your throat while watching this??

  • i think shes got a hairball

  • Damn this girl is bad ass!

  • i think shes loosing her voice from so much "OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

    "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" "HIYAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"!

  • @Keither09 just what i was thinkin XD

  • i think shes lost her voice from all the screaming kia!! and ooooohhh, makes me wonder what she can do with a pole in the bedroom heh

  • thats awesome!! i'm only a yellow belt in brazillian jiu jitsu. i would really love to learn weapons training though

  • metal? hate to get by that bo

  • Hey. Just watched your video. That was incredible. It looks really, really cool. How many hours a day did you practice? I'm going for my red tag in ITF Taekwon-Do this August. But I'd love to learn some weapons training.

  • OMG, I don't wanna have a gf like this O_O

She should have been born a boy instead.

  • @quanarius i want girl like;

that to each me stuff xD

  • @quanarius What are you intimidated by a woman who could probably kick your butt?!

  • hmm yes can i ask if it is better for the bo staff to be longer than you or shorter than you? is there a difference or like is it the same??

  • New Judo school , all first timers except a green belt ,so Black belt instructor, asked him to help demonstrate a choke. The green belt went a terrible color, similar to his belt..The Shodan black belt stopped and said "you have the strongest neck Ive ever come across. The green belt coughed out what do you mean? The black belt said " I cant believe I couldnt get you to tap out" ! "What do you mean tap out, this is my dads green belt "

  • this is a great video, but is there any other videos other than this??? can u give me some links??

  • She closes her eyes too much when doing full speed. And a child would never recive an advanced rank. She shows her lack of real training.

  • Comment removed

  • i love people who buy worn belts. it makes me laugh.

  • @StL33T She has earned that belt training since she was a very young girl. Let's see your belt?

  • @karatevideoguy my belt is a token of the past. if she got that belt ever since she was a young girl, then dayum, the belt must've looked funny cuz it mustve been hella thick.

  • @StL33T Maybe it is a past down belt. Her father is her instructor. I know she has been training for most ofr her life. You would have to ask her yourself. She is on Facebook look her up. She has trained in traditional martial arts. Miami Elite Martial Arts is where she trains.

  • @karatevideoguy if that is so, then i apologize for implying that it was a "pre-torn" belt. But my statement still stands, people who buy worn belts make me laugh.

  • @StL33T and I agree with you on that point, a worn belt should be earned not bought. My business partner was burned badly in an accident and they had to cut off his belt, and he was upset because of what it represented to him. He earned that worn belt through years of training and to loose it was devistating.

  • @karatevideoguy A worn belt is not something to earn. It's something that need to be replaced.

By been so focused on the apparency of a simple belt you only proved yourself to be a bigot that practice bullshido. Fuck off!

  • @karatevideoguy why get attached to a belt - wasn't the belt system originally invented as a commercial system anyway?

  • @karatevideoguy thanks i will look her up now

  • @karatevideoguy Like it matter.

  • ok, from a traditional martial arts point of vue i have to agree that some of the kihap's are in odd places, and yes there is times when she has no physical control over the staff, However This comes from XMA which is a proformanced based art created around the need for fancy tricks within the entertainment industry. and although the physical applications of this are not useful in a real fight i bet her grasp and understandin of bo staff basics techniques far exceeds that of most who critercise

  • Dude, I mean i'm pretty intense but not to the point where i have no voice... Chill out child

  • her voice is off because she screams unnecessarily when performing.

    sounds ridiculous.

    can't people just be silent?

  • you have a strange voice ^^

  • priceless face when tricks r up! no offence xD

  • this finger tech's pretty hard to master in wood... got any tips? pre training??

  • O.O.... !!!!!!!!1

  • you are talented

  • Uno sciroppo per il mal di gola no eh?

  • Aggressive kiai = sotto voce. You go, grrrrl.

  • im no martial arts expert but this is not real Bo training. As someone mentioned this is baton twirling and for entertainment.

  • @SamStuart07

    it looks nice

but i dont understand the purpose

    of that c....b

  • Ual.. kkkkkkk

  • many of this action can't be done with a real wood staff and in the real application for me is crazy to loose completely the control of the stick, in many time you close your eyes...yes that is just for fun, for play in freestyle competition, but for me the real application is very far.....but.... that is only my opinion :)

in any case your level and the your speed are absolutely fantastic u are 5 star for me

    bye

  • @9phoenix84 Which actions you find impossible with wood staff?

  • @basilolo A Wooden Staff is all I have, what kind of staff are actions easier to do?

  • @Future4Reference The easiest is to have a staff with a special grip in the middle (for example tennis grip). You can apply it as well on graphite, wood or metal staff. Without it I think the laccquered staff would be best choice.

  • @Future4Reference doesn't matter, some bo's are too light they aren't good, but easy to get a feel. need to just practice with something that doesn't seem too heavy. should have one heavy bo, one light bo, and one somewhere in the middle that you should favor. if you're planning on doing tricks the lighter the easier, but if you want speed and power not to mention durabiility as i have broken many bows, get something that you can toss and around and wont have to worry about breaking.

  • The reason why she will pause and kiai with a yell. Is to give the opponent 3 seconds to attack her in a frozen posture with her eyes closed. Bad habit!!!

  • wooooow thats one girl u dont want to mess with that defo nice work by the way any chance for some training 1 2 1 XD

  • this is baton twirling ! not martial arts ! she can't even Kiai properly and what she is using isn't a bo or jo ! Crap !

  • cute. :)

  • lol she closes her eyes like shes scared lolol

  • oh you just put me down jaja but nice moves

  • Wicked skills, even if they are not suited for fighting. Props from this dude.

    Peace

  • this makes me miss karate

  • i dont really like those types of bo's there made of alluminum so there light so you can move insanely fast if you would go to are dojo we would be yousing fat wooden bo's to do are kata so imagine us yousing those light ones

  • my throat feels funny when she talks.

  • learn to scream form ur diaphragm. maybe safe ur voice so u dont sound like u've smoked 20 packs of cigarets a day when ur 30

  • Extreme respect for this sport. Takes insane training to get this all down perfectly. But honostly they shouldn't call this a martial art, that's just not right. Wonder how light the bo is if you can really twist it inbetween your fingers. My bo is so heavy that it's even hard to control with one hand, let alone a few fingers.

  • dose tha can do complain and critize

  • Her voice remind me a the sound of someone who have swallowed a cat :/ but nice stuff :P

  • she is sexy if you ask me.....i need to get the digits.

  • uhm,...well,...looks like 'extreame BATON twirling',... but can she explain the empty-hand relationship for the self-defense techniques (since most people don't walk around with a aluminum toothpick,......lol'.)

  • you are amazing

  • shes voiceless and doesnt know her fingers

  • dam your belt is worn out so much.. how long have u been black?

  • now thats who i want in a bar wit me! lol

  • " im scream a lot and when i make the dvd i cant talk good :D!"

  • She makes the dumbest unnesaser noises!

  • u stol my move

  • Eres una sobradaaaa,q weno

  • how bout we just watch the video and keep immature and arrogant comments to ourselves,eh?

  • could u slow it down>? :) please?

  • yeah too sexy and cute

  • so sexy!!

  • Wow. Never knew girls could be that slick !!!

  • shes screaming oh cause she just pooowned somebody!

  • WOW, that was NICE!

  • want some water?

  • @MichaelSedrak AHAHAHA!!!

  • @MichaelSedrak looks like she smoke a lot, for the good stuff:)

  • what weight and length should be bo?

  • it should be about 6feet or 1,80m :D

  • Ahahaha. I actually tried doing this by her instruction. Complete failure. She's amazing, but it would take a lot more than this video for me to do these moves. Not with the little bo training I have.

  • when there's desire to do something, no matter how hard it is, u can do anything u want, i had no experience what so ever, but paying really good attention i manage to do it. and i think u can do it too. a dream doesn't become a reality through magic; it takes sweat determination and hard work.

  • @luicho0303 motovational

  • you belong on a box of wheaties lol

  • i have once thought that skill like that never existed. i have been wronged

  • lol ofc it did most likely everything ;)

  • wow! like...wow...i thought i was good...i want to be like this!

  • This is really funny for those Chinese martial artists, all that shouting and yelling, just listen to her cracky voice, and those fancy spins. The staff in Chinese martial arts requires little spinning, more combat quality.

That is definitely Japanese Bo Style, I like it fancy.

  • can i just be her? Love it.

  • not bad but try to learn for combat skills. keep it up

  • God i've had enough of the ignorance of some of you "Martial artist."

That style of bo is for presentation, so stop acting like your better just because you can't do this.

She could kick you ass side ways with that bo or a normal bo, its really not that different, you just can't spin it as fast.

  • Oh yeah, no the natural hand-rollover-throw-spin-catch move. Yeah totally got that. Would you suggest a regulation size bo staff or would any mop / broom handle work?

Obviously I'm just kidding. I loved the video... although I'd never be able to do that. I'm more of a baseballbat-lots-of-random-swinging kinda guy.

  • The shouting destroys her voice :|

  • i wouldnt mind her screaming at me

  • eww DNW

  • HHHoooouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu :D

  • Nice spins....that's about it!!! Has nothing to do with kobudo. have a nice day!

  • Comment removed

  • Keep up the great work. Every thing has it's place. Follow your own dream. Have a great day!

  • it should be called extreme baton twirling, if it's not meant to be used in a fight theres no martial.

  • Comment removed

  • i've studied martial arts for 22 years explain to me how this dance is BUJUTSU

  • Comment removed

  • you didn't answer my question. how is it bujutsu if it's not for a fight. but you contradicted yourself, you said it's not for a fight then you said it's traditional. what kata are these nonsensical spins in? please give me the reference to the page they appear on in the bubishi also please respond in japanese.

  • Comment removed

  • What a silly attempt at Japanese. Please do not use a google translation it is not accurate. Your ending with de aru is very much a robot. As a Japanese I think you make yourself look very silly. Scott-san is very famous in Japan, please do not call these "American Cheerleadings" bojutsu.

  • Comment removed

  • あっしがうそをついている知っている

  • Scott-san this child who speaks pretend Japanese will not find that word on google. We Japanese are very impressed with your knowledge, many in Japan do not know asshi.

  • the only thing thats archaic japanese this guy knows is shudo

  • LOL Japanese keyboard. Scott-san thank you for showing me this person, his lies are as bad as Greg Park.

  • i should have told him to type it in pre ww2 romanji. or told him to use 拙者

  • O-genki deska, Yaburi-san. Since you seem to be the expert, can you do any of these drills? Perhaps you might want to upload a video response to this. We, silly Americans will be waiting. Sayonara!

  • LOL Please learn proper Japanese, I'm sorry I do not twirl batons, I prefer true bujutsu. I would not insult martial arts by doing silly things.

  • :)

What martial arts weapon do you practice with?

  • it's called a "Bo-Staff" ^^

  • Very nice. :)

  • You fail sideways.

  • way to google translate, and you still didn't address your contradictions.

  • Jennifer rules

  • I am sorry you do not understand that this is not kobudo it is freestyle open sport martial arts which has nothing to do with fighting it is all for entertainment. He never said this was Traditional Karate you just assume that everything has to be traditional Martial Arts or it is not worth anything and that is very small minded.

  • its not even a martial art its on the same lvl as twirling

  • Comment removed

  • @karatevideoguy doesn't matter if it's meant to be budo or not, it's still a mockery of jissen kobudo, and disgusting.
