I just found a 1959'r and the channel is not powering the Gain section so I can only play my mono LP's and such..but no disappointments!! WOW this sounds heavenly. It drives the century JBL 100's with no problem. They sound the most realistic I've heard. The bass is the best I've heard on a tube amp. Can't wait to get the replacement board to pop in, but in time I want to fix this the original board, as it's only one or two small components that are shot on the RIght side. Great post!
I have a stock PAS 3X in near mint condition and have been contemplating getting it restored, but with so many modder's its hard to choose. I would want the phono as well as the line stage upgraded. Do you have any advice? By the way that is one heck of a retro setup! it even sounds good on my $15.00 computer speakers.
so cooooool, are those klipsch herseys, i got a pair too and am tossing between this amp and the mac240, is there much difference in sound between the two
i can only hope to have a turn table like that
