how do you forget to kick the leg under the car. they need to get theirr heads out of their asses. and why arent they doing anything if its suspended on 3 then lower the damn thing.
why was only ONE fucking arm on that side and that dumb spick s like uhhh ok i ll get it NO WONDER i dont trust shops and u wonder why u take ur CAr to the shop for one thing and next thing u know 5 MORe fuking things are broken Dickheads like this
thats not uncommon for a car to be lifted by only 3 arms its happens to me all the me but i at least have the arm underneath it it happens when the two diagonal lift arms are higher then the other two
had this happen to me twice. wile lifting the car just a big pow and the lift arm just shoots out like a bullet. both times it was on a pt cruiser. and i seen 3 other people do the same thing. also all pt cruisers. the lift point is to close to the rear control arm. if you get it off just a little the control arm will push the lift out from under the car.
@MrGizmo757 with most lifts the arms are designed to automatically lock in place so if the arms came out there was a problem with the lift and nobody fixed it.
@Autoliftandalignment Well i have worked at 9 shops so far in my career and only one of those shops had locking lifts. and i worked at a few 5 star dealers with some of the most modern equipment. they all had locks on the post to prevent it from lowering but it was rare to see a lift with locking arms. i also only worked at one shop that had above ground post lift. all the others were in ground lifts ware the post raise out of the floor. all rotary brand lifts in all the shops though.
No, but most of you are crooks! Say something is wrong with a car and its really not! Or they will say they changed out a part with a new one and didn't! And I never said ALL! I know a few great mechanics!
Not mine they don't! I do 95% of the work myself! Hell, I've never even had the dealer do anything to my car except the inspection sticker. oh and a new remote for the entry system! Gotta love Hondas!
I had the same thing happen to me, a mechanic we knew or thought we knew said my caliper bolt was stripped and kept on turning, but when i went home i checked it myself and the asshole just unscrewed it some i was able to tighten it tho. I brought it in tho to see what he would do when he "fixed" it and he said he tapped it to the next size bolt. Well the bolt is the same size bolt and the same bolt that was on there prior.. He didnt nothing by try to get $40 off me.
I watched a polish guy leave an axle stand under a truck while he was lowering it off the hoist once, it lifted about a foot off the rear hoist arms lol

You would think as expensive those lifts are the would have a simple safety switch on the arm to prevent people from forgetting something so simple.

go to the dealer, prices are expensive but for the most part we sell parts that are due at least i do. i dont upsell something unless its needed.
