  • I agree with dramadork triffic backs up. I believe the old design was alot better it had uninterupted traffic, you didn't have to stop at a dumb light. the only thing they should have changed is the south bound entrance.

  • @RubiconSRT I'm sorry you don't like the new design but it is important to remember that it is still under construction and you're not using the completed interchange. When it's done there will be 3 lanes and the signal timing will be different.

  • Why would you place a light on a freeway, I 15-highway 6? This is a nightmare during the evening commute. How did UDOT ever approve this design. There is traffic backed up to I 15.

  • @TheeDramaDorks we will continue to adjust the timing on the signal during construction and after construction is complete. I spoke with the project and they will take a look to see if any adjustments can be made now to help the evening commute now.

  • So, with a new Costco coming in just East of Macey's we have even more local traffic going on the Macey's road because you can no longer access highway 6 east from Main Street?

  • @TheFamilyDad the new interchange does make it necessary for drivers to use local roads when traveling between Main Street and U.S. 6 and we do understand it is a growing area but it was necessary for us to remove the connection. The interchange is designed to manage I-15 traffic including projections for 2030.
