Summary of THE MOVIE

It is sunrise in Sydney, Australia. Kangaroos are awakening, and disc jockey Ashley Wallace is wrapping up his all night radio show. He meets with his boss and gets an assignment, to interview ABBA. Suddenly, he is at the airport. ABBA's plane has landed, and they are in the terminal. Agnetha hugs a security officer.

I watched this movie on DVD the other day. Mind-boggling! That may of been the greatest movie I ever saw involving a music artist (and greater than The Beatles in "A Hard Day's Night"). So many great moments (concert and plotwise) that I don't know where to begin.

Hehe my friend, it was in 1977 - 78. ABBA started in 1972, but they "became" ABBA in 1973 and won the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974 and they separated in 1982.

And I read that oficially they did not separate, they have only bigger rest which lasts till now. It would be great to see them together again on the stage, but probably it will stay oly our dream.

It was a great movie "ABBA THE MOVIE" it was a hit in the 80's. It's about an english journalist who wants an interview with the group ABBA. He was always unlucky with his efforts to get 2 them with body guards etc. Then, when all hope seems 2 gone, he accidently met them in a hotel elevator. He got his wish comes true!! I heard that the movie was digital re-mastered in 2006. But, i'm still looking around 4 this movie. A gud DVD to add into collection.

The' journalist' is Australian,not English. It was filmed when Abba were on tour in Australia. Australia was Abba's most ardent fan base.

Robert Hughes,who played the reporter,was in the 80s in an Aussie show called 'Hey Dad'. His screen daughter Jenny(Sara Monahan) claims he molested her and other victims have come forward. But he lives in Singapore and is married to Robyn Gardner(Cate Blanchett's agent) so extradiction may be tricky. Google Hey Dad abuse scandal.
