  • @muzimuzi You are supposed to do as many reps as you can on the last set ;)

  • @hkon89 i recall the routine goes like week1 3x5 then 3x3 then 5-3-1 and always the last set should be more than the written reps. but i figured 5+ means 6-7 reps not 16. or thats like an extra set ? i still dont get it =P

  • @muzimuzi as I said, you are supposed to do as many reps as possible, whether that is 6 or 16 reps. I am, or at least was, pretty good at high rep deadlifts. My training weights were calculated as described in the 5/3/1 book. But what I would recommend is to pause every rep on the floor, since training touch-and-go will make you weak in the bottom of the lift. I have started pausing every rep, and probably wouldnt get 16 reps with 200 kg today, but my 1RM is up, and that is more important to me

  • @hkon89 hmm you dont look like the one whos good in reps but i know what you mean. i barely max at around 175 but i repped 138 for 17 times so my 1RM is very low realtivly. anyway i read more about 5-3-1 and i figured i'd better do madcow for now till i get stronger then maybe move to 5-3-1 again and if you say u max at around "only" 260 then i think you got some red fibers in u to!
