  • Hey, I thought Ginger did everything Fred did backwards and in high heels! Where's the high heels? Where's the backward part?

  • Too bad Hollywood lacks this kind of talent today!

  • Everyone at M-G-M wondered if Astaire and Rogers could recapture the old magic. It became immediately apparent they didn't have to do any capturing; they were at the top of their form. Ginger's body had become more athletically shaped because she remained slim and trim and vibrant.

  • Ginger's hair and colthe's are a bit 70's style, although the movie was filmed three decades before xD

  • I love the little chin tickle he gives her when they start, and the smile she gives back to him :) Fred and Ginger were just adorable together!

  • It seems as if I have been watching these two dance since I was a wee-tike, yet every step is still refreshingly new. What I find to be so exquisite is their timing and precision. If you freeze-frame any movement, you will see how perfectly the two are synchronized. This only comes through dedication, hard work and discipline; things that are so lacking in today’s world. No one will ever come close to matching these two fine artists.

  • ...her little pinkish necktie thing looks like the breast cancer ribbon...

sorry, i just noticed that...anyway the dancing was great ;)

  • I think they were twin souls..that chemistry is amazing!

  • i love their chemistry and the sense of humour in this piece it's slightly cheeky!

  • I remember my grandmother telling me all throughout m childhood that although Fred Astaire danced with many different women, only Ginger Rogers was his "equal". Of course, as a kid, I could care less, but now having watched Fred in many movies and having seen him dance with different women, I see what my grandmother meant.

  • I always loved this number because Ginger was wearing pants, a nice change from all the glamorous and lovely dresses she usually wore in dance routines. Thanks so much for the clip.

  • Ginger was so cute in this.

  • Neither of them had lost a bit of their magic. Ginger still the most beautiful girl of Hollywood.

  • Love the ending!

  • Merveilleux !

  • Fabulous! I found this video after reading about them at cineclubdecaen com acteurs gingerrogershyamenglish.

  • I love the way Fred touches Ginger's chin in the beginning of the dance number. Shows a sign of affection, very cute.

  • I love how they make it look so effortless :) Thanks for posting this!

  • Fun stuff. Class acts.Sure beats spinning on your head on a piece of cardboard in the middle of the sidewalk...

  • Does it get better?!

  • The moves at 3:02 are the same ones that he did with Rita Hayworth in the Shorty George video.

  • I would give anything to have been alive during this time period<3 They are both amazing performers!

  • In Ginger Rogers' book she said that this was probably her favourite dance that she and Fred did together. A few years later Fred told her it was his favourite dance that they had done together too! I love them both they both had fun and it shows! Xxxxxxx

  • This is SOOO cutee!

  • my fav dance number w these 2!

  • Too amazing. One of my favorites XD I'm killing the replay button XD

  • I'm 66 and afflicted with a full array of ills, but I can only guess what goes through the minds of younger Americans when the see this stuff! Where are these dancers and singers (listen to Astaire sing some time---I like him better than Sinatra!) NOW!

  • @bigbuffler

Still around! My friends and I are not up to them yet, but we strive to be. As long as there are people in this world who understand real talent, stuff like this will never die.

  • Great - and the music is supplied by pianist Mel Powell and his combo.

  • I love her devil may care flair. Like it's just something she thought of. So laid back. She has that gene Kelly thing, where ti looks effortless like anyone could do it and no one else ever had.

  • I just love it when Ginger immitates Sharline a.k.a. Shirley! "Well not quite as cute as all that Mr. Barkley." Hahahah, I love Ginger, she's hilarious!

  • @JAfan3993 I really did think SHE (Ginger) was as cute as all that.........All do respect to others I thought she was the best looking woman in Hollywood during this era.

  • @SwingAge22 Ginger really was the best looking. She was so talented in so many ways. She was an amazing dancer, a great actress, a good singer, she was absolutely stunning, and she painted very well. Ginger was an amazing woman!
