Never seen the show, but cool track, kinda sneaky. And i can certainly understand why you still have the hots for Annette Andre ;-)
Dont believe i've noticed you using a Waldorf Blofeld before, did you just get it or am i just unobservant? I just picked up a Korg microSAMPLER today, gonna use it to perform my tracks live. Due to their complexity and use of SH-201 that's not been possible so far. Also gonna work in some small samples in future tracks for texture.
@MarctheDarc Hi Marc, yeah this is my first use of the Blofeld (keyboard) very cool! I can't for the life of me understand why this synth isn't flying off the shelf! Very analog sounding many similarities to the Gaia...very nice bass sounds and that clicky Kraftwerk like drum samples. I really love the arpegiator too (the Blo Arp "Ghosty" sound starts at :55) Just started playing with this; also, I just purchased an Akai SG01V module which is probably the best rompler ever made! continuing...
@MarctheDarc Great you getting the microSAMPLER! : ) I can't wait to hear you work with it, and the SH-201. I can imagine the complexity involved here...I mean just two hands, right? I wish that I could get the Korg...but then again i wish that i could have Annette Andre, too!!!! LOL :D
@NickDrake101 The Blofeld is a seriously cool synth ye, especially as keyboard. I've often recommended it to people. So gratz on picking 1 up! And gratz on the Akai as well ;-)
A sampler did seem like the best way for me. I love the sound of the SH-201 but it cant multi-layer beyond its own splitfunction. This way i load a bunch of SH-201-created loops and sounds and trigger them from the microSAMPLER.
But yeah, 2 hands, it's gonna be interesting learning to play it all live ;-)
@Synthsound1 Thanks Dave. Yeah, the Persuaders was really a great show. The first Monty Berman show I watched was The Champions, but I know it's a little corny by todays standards--that would be a great remake though! The Persuaders is coming on American tv--can you believe it! I wouldn't even consider looking. HA! I was burned when I watched 2 minutes of the US Life On Mars ( I had already watched UK LOM many times-only 1 Gene Genie!!) Life on Mars was the alltime best...with the Sweeney! :)
@busywave Hey thanks Mark...if you want to see it, it's on the sidebar. Looks like the full show is posted. Episode one is called "My Late Lamented Friend and Partner (Part 1)". Walt
Hi Walt! I've never heard of this show; looks like I missed out. GREAT song. Reminds me of classic James Bond themes. Nice one; I really enjoyed it! Hope you're doing great!
@buniluvr I understand the syndicated run in the us was allotted to late Sunday night/early Monday mornings. Pre vcr days I would stay up late to watch it. The next day at school I slept my way through classes! A model student! Lol!
It was my favorite show of the 70s
