  • This is a copy of the arrangement Ferde Grofe did for the Paul Whiteman Orchestra. Compare to Whiteman's july 6, 1927 recording. I like this German version. It's kinda "funky" compared to Whiteman's version.

  • Bardzo ladne, az nogi same tancza :)

  • Who is singing? Someone from UK or even from United States? As I know, in these times in Germany the singing in English wasn't popular.

  • What a wonderful song, and what powerful images by the great German Expressionists!

  • Your integration of Art & Musik! *****

  • Never heard him so jazzy, unique record

  • Great music with such evocative background paintings

  • Thanks for reviving my parents, who would gather around a piano and sing this song with their friends. Great version!

  • I think this is much better than the American Recording that was number ONE that year......thanks.

  • A great arrangement. It's almost symphonic in its complexity. Thanks for posting it.

  • @edgrosso This is basically the Ferde Grofe arrangement as recorded by Paul Whiteman in New York on Wed. July 6, 1927. If you like this recording you might like listening to the Whiteman version.

  • Beautiful!

  • This is staggeringly good!

    Thank you!

  • Bravo!
