The best thing about that alliance (or whatever to call it) is that it took the piss out of just about everyone; Harper can't go after the Liberals' "socialist and separatist coalition" anymore (without someone calling him on it), now that he's done it himself; Layton can't really criticize Ignatieff propping Harper to save his ass now that he's done it himself, etc.
