It's his job as an actor, if this your classification as a douchebag you should a heap more names to this list, considering half the characters portrayed as douches in the film industry. You should either target the script writer for inventing the character, if you hate the character so much (maybe the director because they often change scripts). it's almost as if you shot the messenger (being the actor you accused of being a douchebag), as opposed to the one who actually wrote the message.

You know what, though? There's not a movie Val Kilmer has been in (that I've seen, anyway) where he is not being a douche...and I've seen several.

Probably my least favorite Val Kilmer performace out of all the ones I hate is Jim Morrison in "The Doors". What a doucy cartoonish one dimensional representation of one of the coolest frontmen in rock history!

Dude, Top Gun is awesome because it sucks. It's so freaking cheesy and over the top, if you don't take it seriously, it's really enjoyable. The repressed homosexuality alone is enough to make it a comedy. The character Iceman IS in fact, completely brilliant. Iceman is such an unrealistic, over-the-top mondo douchebag, it's hilarious. It's like the movie knows it's a joke.
