I think you cant interview Newsted without mentioning Metallica. Same with Mustaine BUT to my point. Jason just loves making music and i still feel somehow sorry for jason that he didnt get enough credit or artistic freedom in metallica. But nice to see he's just enjoying the things he do. Doenst matter if its not as big as metallica.

it's sad that echobrain's songs aren't in youtube, cause I want to hear the first album's songs, i have the glean album on my laptop, but jason only helped with the making of that record, I guess that the previous to albums where jason is are better but glean is an ok cd, it's just that it only has those sad songs, there aren't any so happy songs, they're all so sad but still good songs. echobrain was a good band and the glean album was ok, I didn't feel dissapointed after listnening it.

Music for you may be about being a hero, but to real artists it's about a musical journey, and about making something artistically sound. Echobrain is still around, and who cares what you think anyway? Where is your CD? Where is your Band? Jason is rich, and is a great artist, and that is something you will never be.

metallica4ev personally I think the boys in Metallica treated Jason like shit, I knew that, and they admitted it. Secondly, I think Jason is a bit of a lemon as a person and has a lot of work to do on himself on a personal level. Should Metallica take him back? I say NO. Rob is a more well rounded bassist and musician then Jason. Jason needs to grow and look at himself. I started being a Metallica fans after these last 2 CDs.

He left metallica because of many reasons, James basically said that (not offending james here) he cannot be in both bands (not in so many words ofcourse). They barely let Jason write on metallica songs and he didn't have as big a role as cliff had or robert has now. It is more important to Jason to be creative than sucessful.

He did the right thing moving on from Metallica, he had done it all with them, he needed to keep his creativity flowing and to do that he had to do other projects like EchoBrain. I think Metallica should of just been cool about it, I'm sure Jason would have given priority to Metallica while he was doing EchoBrain.

This Minneapolis show was great! The guys were very cool after the concert and signed a used drumhead for me. Get this cd -it is excellent! I have it playing on my iPod all the time!
