  • Hey! You're not Jimmy Page! Guess you deserve a thumbs down for not being the original creator. (I however will give you a thumbs up, because this is rock.)

  • PERFECT

  • I did read the description. There are serious guitarists out their that want to play songs the correct way. If you are happy with mediocre, than fine that's your business. Using the "F" word to try and make a point shows you have no class and and little education. Either that or you are nothing more than a troll. Get a life loser.

  • @TheMrAlrod Then why are you here.....he knows he's playing it wrong...he doesn't need a critic that he really doesn't care about telling him he's wrong!!

  • @TheKevFella

I am sure he would have commented if he had issues with my comments. This guy loves to play guitar and I am sure he is mature enough to accept constructive criticism. That is the only way to get better. If he takes to heart what other people are saying, then I am sure he is now learning to play the song the right way. Playing stuff the wrong way is NOT how to play better.

It sucks now that Oprah is off the air, all these silly drama queens are coming wasting peoples time.

  • @TheMrAlrod I don't really care what people have to say, that's true. In terms of playing "right" or "wrong"... I used to cover this with my band. We played it the way I did in this video. If you mean it's not like the original, then yes it's wrong. Otherwise, any cover by anyone that isn't note-for-note like the original must be "wrong". My take is that putting a personal "spin" on something is fine if the rest of the band knows what's going on. Either way, I'm not insulted or anything.

  • @kcmsterpce

I respect that. I will say also, that you are an awesome guitarist.

  • @TheMrAlrod Haha you called him a troll. Thats so dumb.

  • 3/4 time signature riff is wrong.

  • @TheMrAlrod whats its supposed to be then

  • @TheMrAlrod I agree, the 3/4riff is a few notes short just before it comes back to the main riff

  • @TheMrAlrod read the fucking description.

  • Nice video lesson. Enjoyed it. Thanks.

  • Good post.

    *Check my guitar demo.

  • tab please

  • 121 people are white cats!

  • @CocaColaJAZ

Haha that's pretty good. I grinned.

  • U be tha man

  • NIce work on the Black Dog and thanks for the lesson. I like the tone, what amp are you running and are you using any pedals?

  • sounds weird

  • nice guitar. nice post

  • Belo trabalho. Parabéns!

  • I agree with the guy below. Ignore all the whining duche bags and thank you for posting this. i enjoyed it. I like how you interpeted a very tough riff and gave it your own flavor, while still paying homage to the original, which is an all time classic.

  • There is no slow.

  • Ignore the whining dogs... thanks for the vid

  • @yougottabekiddinus Don't mention whining dogs! There's Koreans about!

  • @letshaveseckz Very Cool National Anthem.

  • @letshaveseckz Where you from?

  • sounds good is it DADGAD or not?

  • @hydrasteeth666 nope. Standard tuning.

  • thanks

  • Beautiful

  • Pretty good cover. Any tips on how to come in on time with the main riff? My friend said Bonzo clocks his drum sticks but I'm still struggling.

  • um can someone plz tell me what distortion is

  • You are awesome thats one of my favorite songs top notch 4 me cus u nailed it cheers dude

  • Liked the lesson, man, helped me out tremendously...btw, what kind of Les Paul is that?

  • uuuuaaaahhhho Fantastic !

  • uuuuaaoh fantastic !

  • great tutorial, thanks!

  • Thanks for posting this, it really helped me to learn it.

  • THANKS!!!

  • classic :)

  • nice job dude keep up the work.........i thnk it sounds better with distortion

  • great job, this really helped me, i thought you slid during the chorus from Low E Fret 2/3 and then played an A with a D chord and this bar chord that i dont know of. thanks!

  • would you send a link of the tab in the description? that can helping for some improvisation or interpretation ...

  • RRREEEEEVVVVEERRRRRRB

  • so cool

  • I usually play it all within the 5th and 8th frets in the Pentatonic A box, but it is much more difficult to play that way. I am now changing to your way... is it the way Jimmy played it?? Ha ha. Good job mang!

  • the opening riff is correct but just a helpful tip- it can be played more easily if you go onto the b string in the c major scale

  • I like your interpretation, but you're still missing some notes, which screws up the rhythm. At the end of the 3/4is section you're missing a D and an E.

  • nice! but is diferent of the riff

  • Good, but Jimmy doesn't use that much distortio

  • Great sound, great 'personal' interpretation!! Thnx for posting!!

  • i have the same guitar, got it today for my birthday

  • What are all these negative comments about this vid' for? I think it was great, I don't know the tune so well so I can't compare it but it sounded good to me! At the end of the day he's put on a vid' to help us learn a riff and he's done a good job. Keep them coming KC, we can't all be Jimmy Page or Hendrix but your vids help us get started and I for one appreciate it. Thanks

  • sucks come on do it better

  • this sounds retarted*

  • youre great man, i give you five stars, don't listen to those jimmy page wanna be's, awsome lesson!

  • thanx dude

  • Wow this sucks

  • u suck, he actually is really good

  • you're the man! thanks

  • i love it

  • TOCAS LOCO XD....

  • Recognizable sound of les paul, i got one today but it is double cut

  • Makes you hard? Preciate the reference bro, and you gave me somewhere to start....but it still ain't exactly right. Like I said, I'm not tryin to talk shit, I needed a reference point so you helped me w that. I did the classic guitar mistake and got confused @ first whether it was in Ab. That's only bc there are no Zeps on utube. My only question is, you did an instructional video and you still halfway played it? U recorded? Come on bro...... Still, I do appreciate the reminder! It's in A major!

  • muito bom...obrigadp pela ajuda...ainda bem que caras assim postam vidios para que caras amadores como eu possa tentar fazer!!!

  • @catutecs yeah i completly understand that not

  • 0:56 missing 2 notes..

  • that's how led zeppelin sounds, it's part of the magic :P

  • yeh. the 2 most important ones.

  • the difference is that this one is more scratchy hard to explain

  • ok got the guide just need to get my guitar tuned lol

  • hey dude i love the way you have interpreted the riff in Black Dog Its a fucking wicked bit of work there well done

  • do something with that tone man

  • thanks, beautiful les paul by the way

  • Thanks!!! Thanks !!

  • Yeah, uhm... read the description and that might explain a few things.

  • oh alright I see, that's cool. sorry about that.

  • @adamusic123s shut the hell up you brain dead hick

  • dude ur a fuckin beast

    rip john boman

  • Some people really need to read the description before commenting.

  • So right man.

  • Who wouldn't fucking know what an asshole is ? I bet you don't even know where your pussy is !

  • sounds awesome!!!!!!!!

  • where'd did u find tab for this song?

  • I recommend buying the Mother Ship guitar tab book as an addition resource for the tricky parts. On the record there are 3 guitar parts so play what your ear tells you is right.

  • Good lesson. Completists can get the Hal Leanord Albums I-V box set tab books.

  • not really a lesson, but you sound pretty good

  • Sounds pretty good, but you stopped before the crazy lick he did that sounds like the record is playing backwards. The funny one. That is the limit of my powers of description.

  • This is a great interpretation of a classic. I like the tone. Everybody is going to do it a bit different. BTW, all you purists, you will never duplicate Jimmy Page's sound. Even Page could not duplicate his sound. Just listen to all the different versions. Old folks like me even remember his live concerts. Nothing like the studio examples.

  • 100% correct...

  • aver pendejo no estas dando ninguna leccion che pipope

  • tocas chido pero para enseñar eresuna mamada

  • your sound sucks

  • Yeah I am pretty much positive this is a Line6.

  • It's a Peavey JSX. I wasn't working on sound. I was reading a guitar forum while playing some Satch, and whipped this video up real quick. Didn't think that many would watch it, or I would have worked harder on it.

  • r u using epiphone

  • gibson

  • hope not

  • nice job but you can play it a bit easier just going down the strings

  • very nice well done ,it helps to me, besause i am collekting guit. riffs

  • great!

  • Great tone. Tube amp? JCM900?

  • this is not a fucking lesson, its a video just looping

  • Nice Jimmy Page tone

  • youve been playing that song for fifteen fears im 15 years old and have only been playing guitar for 2 years

  • cambia mestiere!

  • WOW, it's a great guitar...

    Les Paul 4ever!

  • what is your tune ? i think its high than eb.

  • Spot on :)

  • not really...when he plays the 3/4 riff he doesnt play the note right before the transition to the regular 4/4 riff. but other than that still good.

  • i play that song really good now thanks

  • Comment removed

  • kickass vid man i luv this song

  • u are good great vid

  • The B section isn't right

  • Valeu amigo por essa pequena lição. Talvez vc preferisse um elogio de um mestre, mas o meu muito obrigado.

E não ligue para as más críticas dos que não fazem nada.

  • Should get myself a webcam one of these days. Wanna show you how I think it should be played.

I think you are missing a tone once in a while.

  • ur good with ur fret playing but ur supposed to go up and down with the pick not just down..this isnt guitar hero

  • it makes no difference, but i suppose you wouldn't know that...

  • actually that like the first rule of picking...i would actually kno asshole i play bass guitar and go back from pick and fingers dipshit..lets see you find a professional guitar player and see what he says...it might not sound different but its easy to mess up and slows ur repetition

  • Sua guitarra é de micro afinação?

  • Great lesson! :D

  • dude, you can really shred, and i fuckin love les paul!

  • great job...pauls rule...just got a 1999 les paul classic..im in heaven !!!!!!!!!

  • learn how to keep time

  • sweet guitar!a lespaul?

  • the song should be played with more pinched harmonics right?

  • also that is the way I was shown to play it...

  • thankyou

  • I do it a little different. But otherwise right on! :D

  • Hey, thank you very much!

    |,,/

  • nice man i like playd thet all over again thanks....

  • hey i wanna know how to play the chorus!

  • great!

make a note that begginers shouldn't make a habit of keeping your fingers rested on the guitar (pick hand) its not a bad habit, but also not a good one. beginners will just adapt that with out question.

    great vid. ->favorites!

  • I dont do it but my teacher said that it is good for beginners to rest their fingers or their palm on the guitar, so they can find the right string easier.

  • very good but u left out an A chord at the end of the riff.

  • there is one more A chord at the end of the riff, why does everybody always miss it

  • Nice work!

Please write the Chords, I' crappily play in guitar, but I' can play synth or piano.

    And I' drumming.

  • before you do the a bar you pick the open a string and the other parts are wronf.

  • this was helpful. thanks for posting.

  • slow motion

  • you are good on black dog

    gratz for the tutorial

  • Dats alota drive

  • he plays very smooth

  • What settings do you have for the amp.

  • this helps me, my mom says when i can play led zep and pink floyd shell buy me a mmustang.

  • That's a cool mom!

  • Haha...

  • thats great ! : )

  • This player has some strong fingers so it works. Hard to slow down BlackDog since it is meant to be played in tempo. Great stuff

  • nice. nice.nice

  • what guitar is it, gibson? yamaha???? plz reply

  • A 2001 Gibson Les Paul Standard

  • Lol! I thought it was a Black Les Paul 1971... but that's true, it's not white around, it's gold color shine... Unless if yours is gold, but since because of the camera we see white...

  • and whoops, I just saw the honey color on the bottom of the guitar...

  • Excellent video! But what's happening with the 3/4 part? Is it played twice or are you just doing to show what it is you're doing?

  • thanks dude good playing nice les paul if it is

  • your right hand is wrong!!!!!!!

  • the way you play this is the A blue scale

  • good point! know the scale shape and suddenly its not like random notes but makes sense and you suddenly find you can move around the fretboard. Useful vid - hey kcm! wheres the dagon suit?! : )

  • awesome. good speed not too fast or too slow

  • Muy bueno el video!

  • get tha tabs

  • wow I hate you!! you are the best ,friend keep rocking!!
