why is this thing so expensive? I mean yeah it is a nice on-board synth voices... picking one up at the store I couldn't help but think it felt cheap.

I'd rather it have some effects knobs at LEAST for that price. What synth doesn't let you mess with your sounds?

Can someone who owns one explain what makes it worth the price?

@JoshuaCrist65 you can pre edit the sounds in the editing software and then put them as your favs on the ax synth, which is allot faster for live performance instead of getting the setting you want right away. And i think they're not onboard because it takes up space....

I think Roland has just started a revolution with this onboard synth they build on this brand new shoulder keyboard. Hope they start to make some new colors including the body and the keys as well, why not?

Roland are expanding you can't just expect them to be immediate with this, they will do it over good sales and a long time.

@ScareMouth Meh I like Lucina. I think looking at the AX-Synth, the custom blacks ones don't look quite as good. The Red AX-1's look pathetic imo, although I did used to own one. Contact some great artists? We would end up with a range of very expensive Keytars available in an array of colours that no-one would buy. £800 is enough for one of these things.

I think I have it for the most part. Verse is Am - Em - Dm repeating. Chorus is C - G - Dm - Am repeated, last repetition is C - G - Dm - Em (might be G). Breakdown/ending riff is in Em. This is my vague guess. I'm pretty sure the song is in Am. I'd start there anyway.

ehm. patch 5 guitar. patch 4 base added some distortion in editor. drums is through my yamaha keyboard via midi. and i think patch 2 on the 1st synth lead is the "voice"
