@crimson1667 LOL - no worries :) I don't have the actuators on the headlights so I'm always having to stop to open them at nite. A lot of the time I just leave the headlght doors open.
what do you have for a cam in it? I am thinking about building one instead of the roller BBC i have now... much more mild with more power... i like the sound of yours.
@coldgin74 - Its a CompCams hydraulic roller - straight out of their catalog - 11-470-8 single pattern, 252 @ .050, .612 lift, with a 110 degree centerline. Not really a blower cam at all, but it seems to perform well. I'm also using CompCams ProMagnum hydraulic roller lifters with it, though I'd probably go with a set of solid rollers the next time around. These race hydraulic rollers are a pain the butt.
700 hp is a lot to put down! Sounds like fun. The torque must be incredible. If you hook up at the track you'll be haulin' for sure! Can't wait to see the videos. SaaaaWeeeet car!
It has a Detroit Locker with 33 spline Moser Axles, running 4.10 gears in a narrowed 12-Bolt. I opted not to do a spool on the street - this thing is on the ragged edge of being streetable now - I didn't want to add the obnoxious behaviour of a spool.
We figure it's putting out somewhere around 700 bhp. Hard to tell without a dyno session, but regardless, it makes lots and lots of grunt. I'm a pretty happy guy :)
Thanks :) I've been working on this for the last couple of years, getting 'hard parts' stuffed in it, getting ready for the track. It's never been down the quarter mile and I'm expecting to hit the track sometime within the next month or so. I'll post video after (unless I do something really stupid lol)
