Games from other consoles, they buy out older Developers that started out on previous consoles ("Rareware" yeah u remember them?? lol), and use their classic games in the hope it will favor their system.

DVD was basically the standard on the market when Sony pushed PS2 sales with a DVD player in the first year and they come out with a price point at $299. Of course people buy it and keep buying it because it's cheap like Wii. PS1 launched at $299. But today it's different. I can't listen to that DVD garbage anymore after have watched a blu-ray movie from Disney. Blu-ray is still expensive but with the leaked out PS3 slim news at $299 things can change very fast.

Plus I like the fact that every Pro 360 model and the Elites come packaged with a headset, so almost everyone on XBL has one when playing, whereas for the PS3 you must buy your own and many people, if its not packaged in, are not going to worry about getting one seperately after they just laid down $400 - $500 for a PS3. Not to mention there are more players on XBL all the time on nearly every game even though it costs an annual fee, which definitely says something about the XBL service.

And Sony keeps updating PSN till' it's completed and my friend who owns a PS3 think PSN is better than Xbox Live because he had a 360 and got rid of it when he got RROD (4 Xbox 360s + jasper model, yes it's not gone). Hey I got the RROD too, and I got another one (Jasper) and its working fine thus far cuz I just cant get a PS3 when the games I love are on 360, I have no choice.
Double AA's no biggie to me, and the D-Pad is hardly ever used anyways.
BTW, the quality of Xbox Live has nothing to do with RROD. Truth is Xbox Live has been completed and is always being tweaked for an even better experience.
I may get a PS3 when I find a game that I can't resist on it, maybe in a couple more years.

I played Halo Wars. Weak RTS. It's practically impossible to flank while attacking with another unit. There's no strategy at all and the computer AI is dumb and predictable. Gay game. RTS is a million times better on PC.

Hardglass, Uncharted needed blu-ray because it is the best looking game in the console market graphics wise. Proven fact now, no bullshit. The 5-6 hour gameplay took up only about 7GB's of the Dual layer 50GB Blu-ray. The graphics ALONE took up over 30GB, there is no possible way a DVD9 could handle that COMPRESSED.
there is only a small difference, but 1.) Compressing that much data onto a DVD9 does take money. And yes, that small difference is an extra 30GB because the PS3 uses TRUE HD, which is HD being currently pushed to its full potential.

the fact is that most games are made on the 360 and then ported over for the ps3. That is why they look the same. They are making the game based on what the 360 can handle and putting on the ps3. SOny has had two years now to get its act together, they just aren't really doing a good job with the PS3. I personally like Crackdown, that is until I accidentally scratched the disc and now I can't play it anymore, but I will buy it again... its actually the first game I got my 360 with last year Nov 19th '07... a couple days before the release of Mass Effect, which was the reason I had to get a 360 for. I was excited for Crackdown before it came out in February and I didnt even have a 360, which is quite odd, I know. One time I bought the Resident Evil remake for the Gamecube and I diudnt have one
Anyways, look up Crackdown read some reviews and pick it up, its pretty cheap now, I saw it used in Blockbuster last week for $10!
The main mission is pretty shallow but you can do so many more things with the world, its awesome... look up some videos of Crackdown cuz I know there's a shitload of them and the 'explosions' ones are pretty sweet.

lol, to me its worth it and after being offline for a year and a half and recently getting back on, I have two modems in my house, two seperate connections, no router equaling a stellar connection for playing games, and $50 per year aint that bad considering what you are getting, XBL is updated almost continuously and there are a lot more people on XBL than PSN primarily playing games. Anyone still playing GTA IV online on PSN?
Sure Microsoft nickel and dime but ur not forced to buy anything.

DVD was basically the standard on the market when Sony pushed PS2 sales with a DVD player in the first year and they come out with a price point at $299. Of course people buy it and keep buying it because it's cheap like Wii. PS1 launched at $299. But today it's different. I can't listen to that DVD garbage anymore after have watched a blu-ray movie from Disney. Blu-ray is still expensive but with the leaked out PS3 slim news at $299 things can change very fast.

However, as in terms of console use when playing online $50 per year, per YEAR is nothing to complain about really... especially when you consider that your dollar is going to improving the service consistently, thus the XBL service is better than its competitors Sony and Nintendo.XBL is regularly updated and improved. So, personally I don't mind paying for a better service at $50 per yr ($5 per month) ($1.40 per wk)(20cents per day) (.7 cents per hr) (.03 cents per minute)(.0001 cents per sec).

Plus I like the fact that every Pro 360 model and the Elites come packaged with a headset, so almost everyone on XBL has one when playing, whereas for the PS3 you must buy your own and many people, if its not packaged in, are not going to worry about getting one seperately after they just laid down $400 - $500 for a PS3. Not to mention there are more players on XBL all the time on nearly every game even though it costs an annual fee, which definitely says something about the XBL service.

I'm not hating on the Xbox community but those fan fags that are screaming loud there are annoying as hell. If they were gone then the community would be so much better. And Sony keeps updating PSN till' it's completed and my friend who owns a PS3 think PSN is better than Xbox Live because he had a 360 and got rid of it when he got RROD (4 Xbox 360s + jasper model, yes it's not gone). He has convinced me to get a PS3 because I can't stand the D-pad and double A's you have to buy.

LOL thats easily fixed its called party chat, just invite whoever you want to talk to in any game into your party and presto, little annoying kids become a dismal memory of the past! Other than that, there's always the mute option.
Hey I got the RROD too, and I got another one (Jasper) and its working fine thus far cuz I just cant get a PS3 when the games I love are on 360, I have no choice.
Double AA's no biggie to me, and the D-Pad is hardly ever used anyways.

BTW, the quality of Xbox Live has nothing to do with RROD. Truth is Xbox Live has been completed and is always being tweaked for an even better experience.
I may get a PS3 when I find a game that I can't resist on it, maybe in a couple more years.
However, not getting a 360 just because of the Dpad and double AA's .... your missing out on some good times.

Hes Damn right. on little big planet you create a level. A Whole LEVEL. and online the game is expanding so much, there are so many new levels everyday, andthere great fun to make, i made my own, wqhich took me 6 days. you could have finished any normal game in that time.

I played Halo Wars. Weak RTS. It's practically impossible to flank while attacking with another unit. There's no strategy at all and the computer AI is dumb and predictable. Gay game. RTS is a million times better on PC.

RTS... I was referring to Supreme Commander, Battle for Middle Earth II, Universe at War, the up and coming STormrise releasing this month and World In Conflict: Soviet Assault which both are multiplats. C&C Tiberium Wars and C&C Kane's Wrath.
Halo Wars I know is a casual RTS, more like a beginners RTS, its weak sauce yet for the Halo fans its awesome, which was is its target audience.
Halo Wars is selling well for a console RTS and that will only drive the interest for the RTS genre onconsole

This video is like a year and a half old and the 360 is still the now and technically it is also the future since the date this video was posted.
FYI The PS3 has one CPU with 8 SPU (Synergistic Processing Units) 1 is used for the OS and the 1 is used for maintenance, this leaves 6 processors left for handling games.
The 360 has a 3-core CPU names Xenos running at 3.2Ghz.
You should do some research before portraying your technological ignorance.

According to reports, there could be a significant loss in Sony's future. Instead of the predicted $2.2 billion profit for its 2008 fiscal year (which ends on March 31st, 2009), Sony could post a loss of $1.1 billion.
The report comes from the Nikkei Business Daily which was picked up by Reuters. This possible profit loss could make the planned restructuring get completed earlier than March 2010 -- which would cut 4% of Sony's workforce or 9000 jobs.

Hardglass, Uncharted needed blu-ray because it is the best looking game in the console market graphics wise. Proven fact now, no bullshit. The 5-6 hour gameplay took up only about 7GB's of the Dual layer 50GB Blu-ray. The graphics ALONE took up over 30GB, there is no possible way a DVD9 could handle that COMPRESSED.

It's very easy to upgrade your PS3 hard drive. I actually got a 250 GB HDD for half of the money the official xbox 360 20 GB costs.

i have a 1080p tv with a ps3 and my 360, i had a lot of fun on my 360 until it over heat cuz it sucks my giants hairy ballsack. The ps3 has better games, lol mhm thats right, we got mgs4 wich kick ass and warhawk wich is an awesome online game and resistance 2 ( cant get enough of that game) you guys got gears of war and halo 3.... and ps3 is oviously a better system like DLBTV said. the fact is that most games are made on the 360 and then ported over for the ps3. That is why they look the same. They are making the game based on what the 360 can handle and putting on the ps3. Uncharted 2: among thieves is supposed to use almost the full blue ray so there is no way that uncharted could be on the 360 because of its lack of dvd space

Overall better smarter???! I'm not gettin' you on that. As far as what you get with the system all in all yes better value, however as far as its core purpose gaming, I'd have to disagree, MS is doing a much better job with the 360 on the gaming front.

i say better because the ps3 is better equipped for the long haul with almost everything we use already built in as far MS goes their working on pushing out another box sooner than expected so that 2 me says it all. u are correct they are doin better on the gaming front but thats 2 be expected since they did have a yr or so head start MS made a mistake by not putting away SONY during that time soon the ps3's visuals will improve and surpass the box along with better games being released

Yes I know... the long haul, so basically my view is, I'm in no rush to get a PS3 yet, perhaps in 2010. The games are flowing on the 360. Woooo a year headstart, I remember when the PS3 was just getting ready to launch in fall of 2006, everyone was predicting the death of 360 by the end of 2007... SOny has had two years now to get its act together, they just aren't really doing a good job with the PS3. It takes double the time to produce a quality game on PS3 than it does on 360 thats the deal.

yea i feel u on that. the key is that sony is moving really fucking slow and the launch titles were wrong choices albeit good games just not what i and a bunch of other ppl were expecting i think if they would of came out with mgs 4 god of war and dmc 4 and kept dmc a exclusive at launch we would be havin a different convo. but they didnt so they are getting their ass kicked. the good thing is i enjoy my ps3 love the games i got and looking forward 2 more and thats what matters rite.

Thats all that matters, exactly. I cannot wait until Infamous and The Agency releases and I hope they turn out to be just as good as I expect. . . then I can get a PS3.

how is crackdown any good? thats 1 of the games im goin 2 get 4 the 360. Infamous at the moment is scheduled 2 come out in spring of 09 im thinking May at the latest barring a delay.its a mmo i didnt know i thought i was just another version of The Club

I personally like Crackdown, that is until I accidentally scratched the disc and now I can't play it anymore, but I will buy it again... its actually the first game I got my 360 with last year Nov 19th '07... a couple days before the release of Mass Effect, which was the reason I had to get a 360 for. I was excited for Crackdown before it came out in February and I didnt even have a 360, which is quite odd, I know. One time I bought the Resident Evil remake for the Gamecube and I diudnt have one

Anyways, look up Crackdown read some reviews and pick it up, its pretty cheap now, I saw it used in Blockbuster last week for $10!
The main mission is pretty shallow but you can do so many more things with the world, its awesome... look up some videos of Crackdown cuz I know there's a shitload of them and the 'explosions' ones are pretty sweet.

lol yea, i couldnt buy a game without havin the system it belongs to, it would drive me crazy. Mass Effect is another title i want 2 play i heard it was goin multi platform that would be great but i doubt it. speaking of RE that was a great game for gamecube. im deff gonna get RE5 its supposed 2 be multiplayer split screen. ill check out crackdown right now

Definitely cannot wait for RE 5. Dayamn! I can't believe you haven't played Mass Effect yet! It all despends on what genre's you like but hey, did you ever play Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic for Xbox or PC? or Jade Empire.. the same devs, Bioware, made Mass Effect... without a doubt my favorite game developers.
