  • @BOYoTERi It's all shot in one sitting and then split into sections. It's not like he taught short lessons every single day and went to the same place and wore the same clothes.

  • Your stance really doesn't matter-as long as you decapitate the other guy!

  • @faffaflunkie Really? Cause I wouldn't shoot at the head... Would you?

  • @CCWSig Just remember (and you won't) to concentrate on the front sight.

  • @faffaflunkie My point was to always practice shooting at center of mass. It gives you greater chance of hitting your target. In the heat of battle fine muscle control is the first thing to go, along with that goes your ability to aim precisely. Sure a head shot will almost guarantee the threat stops immediately, but your chances of hitting it are slim. Drills and practice of point shooting will help tremendously. I wasn't meaning to rag on you, my apologies if it came out that way

  • @faffaflunkie Every round you fire carries your liability with it until it stops, may that be in the bad guy, tree, wall, or a person down the street you are responsible for it. Not to mention a miss hitting the bad guy does nothing to stop the attack. Why aim for a small(head) target with greater chance of not hitting it and sending a round wild, when you can aim for a target 3 times the size(chest or COM) and increasing your chance to stopping the attack. And yes get a lawyer and shut up.

  • Good, to the point video; not like all of the "Bubba's new pistol" videos.

    Keep 'em coming.

  • Its the wrestling stance from high school, or mma / boxing

  • Good Job on all vids informative and to the point, having military background myself I feel it was well presented keep up the good work.

  • why the hell would you turn a gun side ways when shooting left hand? i don't think this guy knows what he is talking about.

  • @carryglock It cuts muzzle flip by directing the recoil leverage into your shoulder and body instead of your wrist. It's a very common tactic.

  • I will never do a Weaver stance while wearing a bullet proof vest, we all know the weakest part on the vest is the sides. Just imagine turning that part of the vest to the bad guy's line of sight, how crazy is that ? if you are going to take a bullet, please do so while being square to the target so your vest can do its intended job asuming the bullet misses your head lol.

  • @stephensonian

    cool story bro

  • morpheus from matrix :P

    nice video

  • @SniperRulez89 just because he's black?! lol i gess i can agree to that

  • @xxReaverXXCerberusxx no, also because he has no hair!

  • @xxReaverXXCerberusxx Whether he has no hair or he's black, I'm sure he's better shooter than you or sniperrule89. I'm black and bald to, and neither of you can compete with me in any competition.

  • glock 17?

  • I think this is the best pistol shooting stance, at least for me anyway.

  • Great job. I shoot IPSC and tend to pass my strong arm across mr chest more and place my off handed arm elbow in my rib cage. Tat seems to give me more stability. it may look funny but works for me. Thanks for posting your video. I need work on my "Off Hand" shooting. Any suggestions?

  • Great instructor skills

  • so thankful for these vids or else I'd think Die Hard was the status quo.

  • i have found that people, including myself who are very comfortable with long guns but can't seem to get pistols on target work well with the ModWeaver.

However most people seem to have better placement with a squared off stance. A lot of it comes down to personal comfort.

  • @flakey1337 definitely, i think that's why it's great he goes through so many options in all his videos. something to get everyone started.

  • The left thumb should not be on the slide.

  • You keep it pointing along the frame. His hands are large so it ends up along the slide, sometimes that happens when I shoot smaller guns. His thumb is not touching the slide, just along side it. The original Weaver called for the thumbs to be crossed to clamp the weapon in, but the method he is using is the most prevalent one out there.

  • @jmangle Didn't original weaver call for thumbs crossed because it was designed to be used with 1911's, which have easily activated thumb safeties?

  • @EthanXin

The thumbs crossed grip is rather outdated and you don't see it in modern competition handgun shooting nearly as much. The thumbs married grip is rather modern as it was widely adopted after many of the best competition shooters used it.

  • Great tips and your instructor skills were excellent also...

  • he never said that he made it up, hes just showing it to us dude

  • ...dude, calm down. For starters he never said he made any of this up himself. And what would you prefer? A person know a proper stance at all or knowing the proper name for the stance?..

  • Thanks!

  • Great tips...excellent instructor.
