Regardless of the medical benefits of MJ, we as adults should be able to use it recreationaly since when compared to the now currently approved drugs, alcohol, tobbacco, opiates, MJ is the least damaging and has the least side effects. The only harmless chemicals in marijuana are the carcinigens in the smoke that are harmful to the lungs. But carcinigens can be found in all smoke, we don't make cars illegal because of it. You could use a vaporizer to avoid the smoke and get pure THC. There is no evidence what so ever that the active ingredient in marijuana (THC) is harmful to the body in any way. Research has been done to find if THC causes cancer, and they found that it actually kills cancer cells. Harmless. Eat a dick.

@PtownMoto They are trying to legalize it in the state, it still will be illegal on the federal level. The states government will legalise, tax, and regulate it if prop 19 passes. Adults 21 and older will be able to purchase and posses up to 1oz and may grow at home on a plot no larger than 25 square feet. The only harmless chemicals in marijuana are the carcinigens in the smoke that are harmful to the lungs. But carcinigens can be found in all smoke, we don't make cars illegal because of it. You could use a vaporizer to avoid the smoke and get pure THC. There is no evidence what so ever that the active ingredient in marijuana (THC) is harmful to the body in any way. Research has been done to find if THC causes cancer, and they found that it actually kills cancer cells. Harmless. Eat a dick.

No one is against really legitamate medical uses for MJ, but rather the way in which the unruly mob tries to ease it's aquistion of weed by piggybacking on the medical possibilites. If only the truly sick sought relief, there would be little debate, and the drug could be purchased with a prescription at a pharmacy. To date, MJ has not cured any malady, but may have bonafide use as a palliative. A palliative may contribute to a cure due to lessening of anxiety. Potheads get out of this debate!

Also, power tends to fall into the hands of the more cautious and sober types, who do rely partly on intuition to make judgements - this same dynamic can be seen in all civilizations, for instance in India, caste Brahmins still hold a lot of power, and there are virtually no political parties of significance in India advocating for legalization of marijuana.

@PtownMoto They are trying to legalize it in the state, it still will be illegal on the federal level. The states government will legalise, tax, and regulate it if prop 19 passes. Adults 21 and older will be able to purchase and posses up to 1oz and may grow at home on a plot no larger than 25 square feet. If your against the government and its involvement then simply don't vote. By voting no your saying your against legalization and support the governments stance as it is.

There are no recorded deaths BECAUSE when a marijuana smoker dies from cancer,doctors dont say' did this man smoke cannabis?' as its mostly illegal,they simply say ' this person died from smoking related cancer ' when have they ever said, ' this person died from cancer but it was nothing to do with the cannabis he smoked ,it was only the tobacco '
Marijuana smoked gives off more tar and the same carcinogens or similar ones that tobacco gives off,now think about it.

Legalization of marijuana will be disastrous for growers and dealers everywhere. Once it gets sold in stores, the price will drop and the crooks will go out of business. With the harsh laws in place, weed cultivators enjoy what is a very lucrative market. For the sake of the current weed trade, we need to keep it illegal.
