hey, I am from Argentina, really like the things you do with these beasts! awesome really... what I was wondering is how you know so much about electronic synthethis and if is there any books or information you could tell me because i am also a synth fan and have recently bought an arp 2600 and dont know much about how to use it! hahah, so well any information will come in handy! good luck!!
Don Buchla is a genius! His instruments are absolutely from outer space, but grounded in high grade engineering and programming capabilities. Just wow!
hahah you obviously know nothing about analog or modular synths the cheapest analog stuff that's any good is about 1-3 grand and this is one of the most advanced modular setups out there. Sure its a waste if you let it collect dust and never learn to use it, but those that know how to use them will say that its totally worth the cost.
Its a Toy for the big boys, some people buy nice cars and some people buy nice synths.
@leonmoeller hell .. why dont you go all the way .. and say .. Id nevery pay anything for music technology... I have a sense of entitlement that is along the lines of .. I download everything.. because its all about me.. and Id never spend more than a grand... well matey.. good luck with your career in Burger King !
yeah I love analog synthesizers and the way Alessandro is so amazing, I want a mini Moog synth so bad, but I can settle for everything I use in Logic Studio software with the Kore Native effects and theres all kinda plugins on my mac when I record in Logic Pro 8 that I really use little if any hardware patches or signal processors, I really like Korg's new Radius Synthesizer...I love the sound of analog synths but that simple digital soundscape is kinda cool too
Oh, once upon a time at tech college... I couldn't mix on the Control 24 because some smarty pants blew up one of the dynaudio speakers. What's worse, when I was doing work experience in a recording studio, we blew up one of the Genelecs. $5k down the drain.......
I'm even more sad. He left before the Australian tour. I've only seen NIN once before and I really didn't pay attention so much to the technical aspect, but rather the musical elements.
Perhaps it's your auditory senses that are in need of proper tuning and training. Might we suggest another 1000 hours of listening to your local 'Top 40' radio station through a digital receiver patched through a '60's analogue valve amplifier (sans all but volume and 'tone' controls) fed to your mind via headphones with 3" drivers and full foam ear surrounds.
making nonsense
