ah... my bad! :) we got a "sky" manufactured hd box 2 days ago... super silent and really fast tv guide. ive heard bad things from thompson sky boxes though... was this a thompson box?
@carpathia808 Yes it was a Thompson box, apparently a lot of people have been having problems with them. The new one is a ''Sky built'' box so i'm hoping it will be fine.

@carpathia808 it wasn't the demo mode. After four visits sky finally found the problem. It was a failing hard drive, the box was replaced

Yes, i still have the problem and no one seems to be able to fix it, inclueing sky! It is still broken now
