fantastic whats totaly amazing is theres was no need to jump around or dance it was all about the music unlike the sad state of our bands today , we have not moved on at all musicaly in fact quite the opposit , sad realy
As someone born around the same time and now in my fifties, it never ceases to amaze me how certain writers could almost see into the future like this, when all I was doing, at that time, was having a good time and living in the "now". The future didn't matter. It would take care of itself. How on earth did youngsters like these writers/songsmiths have such an understanding of life?
Phew, am I glad I found this recording again! I had it on the hard disc provided by my cable company but the blooming apparatus broke down so I lost it. So great to see Sakamoto-san with the rest of the Japan-bunch, even when they must have been mad at eachother at the time, at least Mick vs the rest.... judging by Mick's biography.
so far ahead of their time - the 1970's and mid 80's was such a creative time for music - in 2010 popular music is contrived/bland - the OGWT was an amazing show
@anthonynewsome I agree with you completely....music today is really dull and there are no decent music shows anymore...Later With Jools tries, but it could be better

This is even more haunting hearing it again after a few years. Ghosts aren't so much outside you as inside - a one-off masterpiece of sound and words

A very underated band, pity they had differences as they could have gone on longer.

This OGWT appearance is my favourite performance of a sublime masterpiece. As Whispering Bob might have said, "Nice."
