The best American machines did not compete in Robot Wars or were ruled too dangerous to compete in Robot Wars; Son of Whyachi in particular would have easily ripped the walls apart and so would Mechavore, Megabyte, and even the 55 pound Ziggo. Do not forget some of the other Stateside legends like Biohazard, Diesector, Tazbot, etcetera.

Most of the American robots that competed in the U.S. Robot Wars did not fare very well in Battlebots.

The only reason the four American robots won this was because it was 4 vs 2 at the start, and when Sir Killalot came in, it was 4 vs 1! Hardly fair odds. In the British version, they had 3 competitors against 2 house robots.

@Headbanger142 The UK TV series has been running longer. Yes Robot Wars as a competition was run since 1994 (there was a US competition), but the TV series only started in 1997 IN THE UK. Robots have been battling way before 1994 anyway. So the UK did bring Robot Wars to the screen, and the americans did ruin it, like they did with everything else (The Office, Deal or No Deal, Fawlty Towers, Men Behaving Badly, Life on Mars, Little Britain, Nevermind the Buzzcocks, Steptoe and Son and many more)
