@shtmmeuup He doesn't jump that high for his hight. The net is 8feet, so his head to the court net. It looks like he's around 6'1" or 6'2". I've seen 5'8" to 5'10" guys jumping as high or even higher then him. But they work out a lot on their jumping ability. Them human flees.

In my opinion, it's just there so you do not jam your fingers or sprain them. What do you want top spin for? Serves, if so, toss it up with more top spin and hit the top of the ball and snap and follow through. Bending your back helps add power as well.

The setter froze the middle so hard it wouldn't matter if the hitter had no vertical. The hitter was going to score on that ball with the 1 on 1 created by the setter.
