im actual rather impressed with kia's new cars , comfortable , fun to drive and they are also good looking .. unlike a lot of other new cars its got a simple look to it instead of a jagged and swoopy "futuristic " look .

@jvrdlc Its pretty underrated. Same with the Mazda 3 2.5. I own a Mazda 3 2.5 Hatch and a friend owns a Forte Koup SX just like the one in this video. mine's rated 22/29 and his is 23/31. I average 27-28 in mixed driving. and he gets 29. On highway cruising, his car gets 33-34 and mine gets about the same too. I don't understand how a Mustang V6 is rated higher, or V6 sedans. My Dad's Lexus ES350 says 19/28, but it usually gets 22-23ish in mixed.

@Ge0vone The clio sport has a torsion beam and that handles great. If it's on a FWD it can work but not on a RWD.

I'd consider this over a Honda Civic or Toyota Corrolla anyday.... the Civic is just too underpowered and plain jane.... same for the Corrolla. Some of the magazine reviews out on this car are a little unfair and biased toward other brands not realizing that Kia is a new player in this game and can only get better.... Hyundai did! But just go the internet and look at all the overwhelmingly positive CONSUMER reviews of this car!

@LeastOfTheMajority Very good, as I understand. I think the car weighs just under 3000lbs. it's like 2900 and some change. that coupled with almost 180hp makes for a pretty quick car. I've seen 0-60 vids of this car with the auto in the 6 to 7 second range.

Good review. Seems like a nice car. I don't like the red gages though, I think white or a silver-blue still gives off a "cool" look with being more mature and sharper.

@snowysnowcones I only like it because it matches the interior pretty well, sticking to a pretty dark color scheme. I do agree though. Blue is a much sharper color than red. More sleek looking.

@Vachowski Excellent question and one I've pondered myself. I probably would buy the Mazda3 over the Forte Koup BUT that's because I have a family and would prefer the 4 or 5-door style of the Mazda. All in all, it's a close call but the Mazda3 is awfully hard to beat for the money.

@Vachowski Steve what about the forte sedan sx? I have the 2010 forte sx sedan and I love it. I also have a three year old daughter and we fit perfectly. Although we havn't gone on a vacation yet. I will let you know how that goes with all the luggage lol.
