  • "The drums were yellow". (The title of an Allan Holdsworth tune in memory of Tony). I have been listening to this particular formula of "Tribute" incarnations that Herbie's been doing since 1976. I have Never, Ever heard him do a piano solo like that. I have all the Miles Quintet shit! The VSOP shit. Never heard anything like this Herbie Hancock solo. I'm speechless!

  • dont get me wrong... i am alive and happy and well... i am 33 years old and love my life and look forward to being around a very long time.... but THIS??? Oh my gawd.... I want to be listening to that piano solo when i die. Or even better, to be playing in such an equally spiritual place when my head all of the sudden explodes. Much to the entertainment and/or horror of the audience! haha
