i love how on great videos, you see nothing but great, appreciative comments, full of respect and admiration.. no trolling dipfarts... haha i better knock on wood
superb, thank you very much cartier. I miss the jazz era of the early 70s. even though in 2010 im in another direction in music. my love is still jazz
herbie hancock is great there and tonie williams . the rest of the band is struggeling thrue the chorusses. - have an ear for the pussy cat hubbard! - Disapointing!
"The drums were yellow". (The title of an Allan Holdsworth tune in memory of Tony). I have been listening to this particular formula of "Tribute" incarnations that Herbie's been doing since 1976. I have Never, Ever heard him do a piano solo like that. I have all the Miles Quintet shit! The VSOP shit. Never heard anything like this Herbie Hancock solo. I'm speechless!
dont get me wrong... i am alive and happy and well... i am 33 years old and love my life and look forward to being around a very long time.... but THIS??? Oh my gawd.... I want to be listening to that piano solo when i die. Or even better, to be playing in such an equally spiritual place when my head all of the sudden explodes. Much to the entertainment and/or horror of the audience! haha
greetings bro! man i never check this thing, but i just saw your message.. haha thanks! wouldnt that be great? youre just tearing it up on stage and all the sudden your head freakin explodes and the rest of the band has to improvise an ending? haha cheers! from a so-so musician in SF
Cool video, I'm also from the Detroit, WJZZ was the radio station with Rosetta Hines and Dorian Pasteur. I really miss those good old days.
