I just bought a Camry 2011 XLE (in Mexico, where I live at). Seems like, until the 2012, the Camry didn't come with Navigation, so, my 2011 comes with BT audio player and BT handsfree, only (6CD Loader. AM, FM and satellite Radio). I was thinking of buying this System you are showing right now. Is it compatible? Does it have any language options?

Did you ever have any issues with the steering wheel controls not working? I installed a unit and it doesn't work well with the unit at all. Only the mode button was programmable.

@Toyofreek, Nice video! I have a '07 camry fitted with same DVD player. A friend recently messed around with the steering control settings and the steering control buttons stopped working. I tried fixing itbut when I got to the steering control settings page, I didnt understand how its adjusted. I even reset the unit with no luck. Mine didnt come with an instruction manual.

Could u pls help look into it and possibly guide me on how I could make the steering buttons it work again. Thanks.

I got the JBL upgrade sound system in my Camry, it is the best car stereo I have ever had, sounds great. I do wish I had the touch screen satilite radio though. I just test drive a new Dodge the other day that had a touch screen radio in it, that was pretty sweet but I do not think I'd want to be messing with it in traffic.

yes but the reason why I bought this unit is because the aftermarket kits look so ugly! + nothing else will work with the Steering wheel controls, no mater what you do to those radios they will NOT work and did I mention that even with the nicest pioneer or sony the kits that fit make it look so ugly its not worth it. You are better of keeping the factory than installing a regular aftermarket radio.

The factory radio that came with my Camry sucked. This one is way better. It Has an AV Input in the rear. Connect it to the car Aux input and you will have the factory Aux input.

This one , plays DVD, factory does NOT, This one has 8" High Res Screen, Factory is 7", Both have Bluetooth, Both Have Navigation, Both are Plug-n-play, Factory unit does not have RCA outputs for AV Out for Amplifiers or additional Headrest Monitors, this one does, Factory Does have XM, in this unit that would be an additional module. However you can easily buy any XM device and connect it to the AV inputs. surly XM is not worth a $3000 difference :) PS: This radio looks factory!

They include the step by step instructions and have a tech line if you need it. PS if you have the JBL system ask them to pre wire the harness for the JBL system. I purchased 2 of these from them and they work perfect.

This one is Plug-n-play and comes with all the instructions needed. Took about 1 hour. 50 minutes was taking the radio out and putting it back. The actual install is 100% plug-n-play so it took no time at all. The camera that is included takes about 1 hour to install because you have to run one (included) cable from the front to the back. All n all easy.

I know what you mean. But the way i look at it is like this. When I got into my $19000 Camry I felt OK but not happy. Before I owned some high end used cars but chose a new one this time and felt lacking. That being said, after installing this radio I feel great when I get in my car. Seriously! I feel Happy, I dont miss the BMW anymore, Funny, nothing doing with the ride, its just that it feels like the $30K+ Camry And I like it, So its been 2 years of happiness fr about $1.30/day:)

@LOONZ83 you have to first pull the AC Vents. They are clipped, they come off EZ, just pull straight out. The plastic side pillars on the side of the AC need to be pulled off so you can have acces to the bottom of the radio

I tried them all. Most dont fit and have a gap or dont work in the US the way they are supposed to and or dont work at all with the steering wheel controlls. As far as I remember the unit is not branded, however I purchased it from metroholdingslimited on Ebay item# 290434112610.

I never tried a double DIN kit because I wated a plug and play install that looks like factory and works with my steering wheel controlls.

Double Dins fit. However price after kit, harness, addaptor, steering wheel controler, install is not worth it. At the end you end up with an ugly square looking dash & radio that look so ugly that the local Toyota dealer still has a brand new 2007 Camry with a pioneer Double DIN that they cant sell because no one can stand the look. It was after that experiance that I started looking for a factory replacement. After many trial & error this is by far the best fit, features, function and look

If you buy it from metroholdingslimited on Ebay item# 290434112610 they give you step by step instructions on a sheet. (I no longer have the sheet or I would post it) If you take your time anyone can do it. It is plug and play. Hardest part is running the camera from the trunk to the front. If you have any questions they give you technical help. If you dont want to do the install they told me they know who can in just about all areas of the US.

works with all models 2007-2011 with the only exception being the camry hybrid model. If you have the JBL system you have to tell them so they prewire the harness for the JBL system.

It works on all Camry models except the hibrid. The Hibrid model would work but it would not show the diagnostic battery screen. Otherwise if you have any other Camry it will work but you need to order the JBL adaptor verssion if your Camry has that JBL system.

for starter it works. I used several before this one and they all had problems, some did not fit, some were not plug n play and some just did not work.

it will not work. the factory upgrade would require a few harnesses and JBL exclusive (OEM) amplification. By the time your done you will spend more than you would on an aftermarket upgrade like this one and you would still have to buy the upscale TOYOTA nav radio. (not a good idea)

if you try to upgrade the cheap factory Toyota radio with the factory Toyota GPS verssion it will not work. There are different harnesses and missing components. Hence this upgrade costs much less and it works great. Its a much better investment than upgrading to the more expensive factory radio (for which you would need to find out the wire codes and missing GPS antenna and Bluetooth etc..) I went through the same process many moons ago

Does this unit have a lag time on the IPOD song switch like the Stock Camry IPOD jack? Also if you have a bluetooth control on the steering wheel do these controls work? Also with the GPS does it require a monthly fee or is it like the Tom Tom that you can buy updates for it? No lag because I use the Audio/Video out of my Ipod into the A/V in of the unit and control it from my IPOD. The ipod serves as a convenianr remote control!

All radio controls from the steering wheel buttons will work. However if your factory Bluetooth is also controlled through the steering wheel you will loose control of that bluetooth system all together because the bluetooth is built into this radio. Canada GPS works, NO monthly FEE. Metric and inches systems are switchable

Stock Headunit does not have RCAs for an AMP, Besides the sound from the factory radio is not so good. If you dont want to buy this radio your better off buying any radio with a camry kit, it will not look good and will not be controlled by the steering weel or have GPS or a screen but it will sound great compared to factory.

It now comes with a bigger screen (its so much nicer than the older one I had in this post) but no TV Tuner! The Bigger screen more than makes up for it. I have been using it for 2 months now and love it!

The display is nicer but all the functions are the same. I bought both from the same guys (great technical service and the only ones that I know work 100%)

100% plug and play, no wires to cut and out of the ones I tried its the best radio by far. I tried one from China, it was a nightmare, nothing worked, I tried one from OEM, the Nav froze every day about 15 minutes into the trip and sounded horrible. This one rocks. The problem is that they all look similar. The cheapest one that I seen that is exactly as mine is listed on ebay now, Item number: 290266622846 $899. I got it for $1080 from the same guy. He is using my vid on the listing, good guys
