  • Hi there!

I was wondering, where do you get your chipboard? LOVE this video, I also saw the finished product, just beautiful! Thanks!

  • @99Alexj99 I buy my chipboard from createforless {dot} com. The brand is Paper Accents, and I prefer the Extra Heavy Weight. I love it! It is the nicest chipboard I've tried.

  • @desdichaedo Thanks - I tried to order but as with many sites, won't ship to Canada... ;(

  • what size o rings did you use for this album? i would like to replicate this album, but i do not want use o rings that are too small. TIA!!!!!

  • @jennyjenn1978 I used the 1.25" diameter o-wires from Zutter in the Antique Brass color. That's the largest size & it's just barely big enough for this mini. I hope you have fun creating! :D

  • Kathryn I love this ! I am going to try this What do you use to cut your chipboard to the desired size? Do you use your exacto? If so, do you have any suggestions on alternative ways to cut it for us exacto challenge folks? :) also when using BIA did you start each piece of chipboard using the C setting or just the back piece?

  • @SeeFluffyRun I use my trimmer {I have a Rotatrim M15} to cut chipboard now, but before I got it, I used a steel ruler and a box cutter/carpet knife/utility knife/whatever. The steel ruler I have has a cork backing, which helped me hold it in place without it wiggling around. I would also just cut through a few layers of paper at a time ~ not try to cut all the way through the chipboard in one go. As for the BIA, I used the same setting to start off all the pieces as I did for the back cover. :D

  • Thanks so much for posting this how to. It's always so much fun to follow your step by steps to see how you create. Love the looks of the double binded book! Patti

  • wow this is so gorgeous. it came out great. my mother-in-law told me shes going to try this. once i get rings for my new cinch i shall try it. tfs

  • scrapbooking looks so fun but you can tell it is very expensive. that was a great video anyway.

  • Great tutorial, really well explained. I'm just finishing my first paper bag mini based on your tutorial, think this will feature in a project in the near future. Thanks for sharing.

  • another awesome video. so simple when you do it. great Graphic 45 paper also.

    Thanks, Kathryn. Flirtini

  • Love watching you work!!! Very detailed instructions...and I've always wanted to make a gatefold which I never have yet.....

I always worry about it getting too thick and not closing right...lol

Thanks so much for taking time out to post this for us! ((hugs))

  • @JuneBugPins I am definitely going to be challenged with this one keeping it pretty flat, as flat does not seem to be in my nature these days ~ lol! :D I am going to try my best, though, so we shall see!

  • This went straight into my favs Kathryn lol. I absolutely adore all of your work and this is no exception, thankyou so much for doing this tutorial and now it makes total sense to me.

together and now I know..... that was a lot of work to do that video and you did it so well so Thanks again.....

  • I am so excited by this paper, and now to use it to make one of these gate fold albums!!! I only wish I could find somewhere in Australia that sold this paper pack so I didnt have to pay such large amounts in postage :(......Hopefully I find some soon.

    TFS, Cheers, Nic

  • @NicPow01 I imagine how frustrating that must be! :( I hope you have good luck finding the papers in Australia & for a good price! :D

  • @mickmacranch You better say a prayer that this one doesn't end up in the unfinished projects bin! :D Seriously, though, I am making it for a friend whose birthday is the beginning of March, so odds are good it will be finished fairly soon.

  • Thank you so much for this tutorial it is exactly what I needed. I didn't and still don't know how to do most stuff I just started scrapbooking. Thank you I have learned a lot from you.

  • @3239861 You're very welcome! :D Thanks so much for watching & commenting & I hope you have so much fun with your new scrapbooking hobby! I love it!

  • Awesome tutorial!

  • What a great tutorial...Thank you so much for your detailed explanation. Now I need to be on the lookout for a BIA..any suggestions on where I can get a good deal on one. Gracie.

  • This is so helpfull! Thank you so much!

  • I am easily confused, but you always make the best tutorials. Thank you for doing such a clear detailed explanation!! It is very much appreciated!!

  • Thanks for sharing this technique. I love the papers you used. I can't wait to see what you do with it!

  • where do you get the chipboard ?

  • @papatya9804 Most of my chipboard I bought from Create for Less dot com, and is the Paper Accents brand. I like that they carry the black extra heavy chipboard which is prefer for some projects. I have also purchased regular kraft medium weight chipboard from eBay and found that it is fine for most projects as well {that's what I used in this video}. I don't remember the exact seller, but there are a bunch who have good rates for 12"x12" chipboard on eBay.

  • Oh my goodness!! I LOVE THIS!!! I do hope you post the way you emblish this. I have soooooooo much trouble finding just the right 'Do Dads" to make my mini special. Thanks

  • @rqh8urkak I'll be sure to post it when I finish. Now sure when that will be as I have a bunch of other projects ahead of this one in line, but I hope to get to it fairly soon. :D Thanks so much for watching & good luck collecting some nice doo dads ~ doo dad collecting is one of the fun parts of scrapbooking. :D

  • Once again that is great tips and creations. Which web site would you recomend to by some supplies?

  • @accrodemode I get stuff from all over the Internet, but probably most of my online shopping is done with JoAnn dot com or Two Peas In A Bucket dot com. JoAnn has great sales and they are getting a larger and larger variety of scrapbook things every day. Two peas is great for the manufacturers that don't sell to the big box stores. They always have a free shipping coupon in their newsletter for any orders over $50.00.

  • Thanks for sharing! I appreciate the bind it all info too!

  • @TexasScrapper The BIA cheat sheet idea came from Stamper Dan and it totally saved my life! I now love my BIA and use it all the time because it is so easy to figure out how to space the holes now & I don't have to do any of that yucky math anymore. Before, I was always worried about ruining something so I just did rings mostly.

  • Great tutorial... great eveything !!! As usual !

    TFS

  • Beautiful, I love it. tfs. :)

  • Fantastic!!! Tfs.

  • Excellent Tutorial!! I love this gate fold album, can't wait to try this technique. TFS Janet :)

  • what size wires did you use?

  • @mickmacranch I used the 1.25" o-wries in Antique Brass. That's pretty much the only size o-wire I buy since I couldn't make a flat mini to save my life! :D Thanks so much for you sweet comments!

  • Loving this! I normally just watch you vids and use my own stuff but I may want to order this paper pack this is great!

  • So COOL , Kathryn. I will have to look at this a couple of times before I get it ! The start of a new album ! Yummmmmmm ! Thanks for sharing ! Best.

  • @artmingle I love all my minis at this stage ~ totally fresh and clean, no mistakes & endless possibilities. :D Love that new mini smell!
