  • rippin' mirrors!

  • @FishingwithKT Thanks man..this river is chock full of em..one of the few waterways that can claim that over here.

  • @BlackstoneCarp Now, what my question is, how come us here in the great lakes get barely any mirrors, but you guys get a population dominated by mirrors?

  • @FishingwithKT Genetics bud..for some reason the mirror gene has stayed dominant in the Blackstone..90% of the waters in the US and Canada are common. As to why exactly..I couldn't say. I'm guessing it comes down to the strain originally stocked and how it evolved...in a nutshell luck lol!

  • @BlackstoneCarp I'd love to get some crackin' mirrors on a regular basis! Cheers man!

  • nice videos! i see your very good at catching carp in the blackstone river just wondering if you have caught any other fish there or seen someone else catch anything diffrent.

  • @worcmassfishin I have fished for bass and pan fish all through out, plus perch and chub..a friend has had a nice pike and I know people in some areas who have caught pike to 20 lbs. Rhode Island stretches are stocked with trout as well..in a nutshell it has a varied fishery

  • Hi mate, good vid as always. Are you still happy with the Fox Eclipse pod? just ordered one yesterday from the UK ;-))

  • @prosurv123 Thanks..yeah still loving it and rocking it. I chipped the paint in a few p[laces , O NO! but seriously I put it through some rough fishing and a lot of use..it is holding up very well. The only real draw back to it is it is bulky compared to some pods, but the versatility it offers me makes up for it in my opinion.

  • @BlackstoneCarp thanks mate, lookingforward to getting it and puttig it through it's paces here in Australia. Weather's been hot hot hot waiting for a few storms to blow in before I head out for a fish..

  • @prosurv123 Glad to hear it. Friend of mine Mick ( from some of our videos) is heading back to the AU in the next few days..he hates the cold so it'll be good for him to get back into some heat.

  • Great videos! Keep up the good work! I'm from PA and since living in California they don't like carp at all out here. Someday I hope carp won't be viewed in such a negative light in the states. Or at least cali. I know on the east coast people want to catch big fish so they normally like carp also. Out here it's catch and eat. Just got my license today over 60 bucks!!! Cali is a rip off.

  • @zyxwfish Thanks bud. Yeah I hear ya. There plenty of people who don't respect the sport out this way as well. Shame about your license..I get 2 states for that price ;)

  • Fantastic vids lads, and only in 4 minutes, well done guys, have subscribed

  • @SaltBrothers Thanks! Best 4 minute session of the winter....

  • Great vid's m8 - subbed :-)

  • Them fully scaled mirrors are stunners, looks like a really nice spot on the river where you were too

  • @stevieh2780 One of the best in the area for winter fishing..both for the looks of the fish as well as the bites that can be had.

  • Good to see you back on the bank, cool underwater shots.

  • @ninelives9999 Thanks bud. I had a busy fall and missed a lot of bank time :(

  • Great vid as always mate, awesome underwater cam

  • me and my mate rich who apears in the video both have got hero cams for x mas so lookforward to using it

  • @sleepyfisherman10 Awesome, looking forward to watching your stuff. These cameras are a tone of fun!

  • Happy New Year Erik!!

  • @NaturesFairy Happy New Year to you as well. Have you been over to the farm to see the Eagle yet?

  • @BlackstoneCarp Hi,, We went today! I think I saw your fishing! Were you by the Medical center side fishing on an island..low area? We had spent some time in the field and when we drove over the bridge I wasnt sure if that was you or not? Thanks for telling me about the Eagle,, I didnt see him :(.. I will go back in hope of catching an eyeball of him!

  • @NaturesFairy Yep that was me. Shame ya didn't see him. Good news is it is typically around till approx. March, give or take a few.

  • Absolutely quality, brilliant how you put your go pro on the landing net, made some great footage! Bring on the next vid :)

  • @CarefulCarping Thanks! Yeah I'm keep running things in my head..dunno if I spend more time thinking about fishing or how to film it now a days lol.

  • @BlackstoneCarp Haha, i don't think it matters what you spend more time thinking about, aslong as your enjoying doing it then that's all that matters mate.

  • awesome awesome awesome video there mate, glad to see you back!! the way you put your clips together is brilliant mate, loving the underwater shots. cant wait to see lots more of you in 2012.

  • @MrCarpking71 Can't wait to show ya more bud! I am really stoked about the upcoming season. I have really, really good feeling about this year for all of us!

  • Wonderful!

  • @RigStation Thanks, glad ya enjoyed it!

  • @BlackstoneCarp No Problem, and I did!

  • great video again matey, keep em coming

  • @DSAchilles Will do bud, will do..long as the fish keep biting!

  • Banging video mate, i've missed the adventures from the Blackstone.

Most were cracking fully plated mirrors, awesome, here they are almost more sought after then the bigger ones at the moment. Looking forward to you organising a sesh for the forum users!

  • @spaggage08 Thanks thanks. This spot holds some beauts..now if i could bank the big, fully scaled ones..woot! Plenty more adventures to come i promise...

  • Nice video, what was the water temp?

  • @ROBM1093 Heh, cold! I don't know for sure to be honest. I keep a thermometer with me but was lazy. I'd venture to say high 30's very low 40's. The part above the spillways was frozen over and there was ice along the margins. We had temps down to -8 F over some of the nights ( roughly -22 C lol) so the waters have been dropping temp a bit, though some heavy winds and mild days have kept any serious ice form forming

  • great footage . go pro???

  • @sleepyfisherman10 You betcha..love that camera. Though had I waited I could have bought the GoPro HD Hero2 out now ...both are great cameras though..and really create some great chances when you put your imagination to it. I am gonna do some snorkling this summer in many of my swims with the camera on my head...

  • Nice to see you back Erik, pretty mirrors too!

  • @kingfisher4522 Thanks and thanks. I've been here, just kinda hovering in the back ground. Some of the members have been discussing things and we are in the midst of deciding on what direction we are taking things. Life could get a lot more fun in the next few months lol...I know I'm being vague lol but it'll all make sense eventually, or it won't ya never know ;) I hope you had a great holiday season bud, you deserve it!
