  • 1:27, what was that?

  • @daddyhasthree03 That was my talking bottle opener. I can record different things for it to say when it opens a bottle. In this video it said "To many Fat Tire's could make you fat" Cheers!

  • bout time you had a flat tire, beer I mean, HA

  • @Atthechipy I haven't had a flat tire on my bike in a long time (fingers crossed). But I do have a Fat Tire several times a year. Its a good, solid beer. Cheers!

  • Oh jesus... That bottle opener tripped me out. I had to go back and listen again.

  • @mesuhlikemusic Yeah, the talking bottle opener is fun. I need to find another one though as it broke :-( Thanks for watching!

  • Good all-around beer. I'm actually drinking it now for the first time. Nothing overpowering, and refreshing. I had a couple of hot dogs with the first one and it was great!

  • @grillmeasteak It's a good basic craft beer. Lots pf people like it and it's easy to drink. A winner for New Belgium that's for sure.

  • Thanks for the review, it was fantastic. If you ever make back to Fort Collins stop on by and say hello.

  • This is one of the first craft beers I ever had. Back then, I was amazed and what I thought it was its "complexity" (compared to the skunky adjunct lagers I was used to drinking anyway.) It's been a long time since I had one, so I bought a six pack a couple days ago just to see how it compares to other craft beers I've had since. Above average, but there's really nothing about it that makes me want to drink more of them, but it's a very accessible beer.

  • @BrokenGalaxy Yeah, Fat Tire is a decent beer. It was one of the 1st craft beers to be widely available and attain a type of cult status. I think of it is a gateway beer to the world of craft beer.

  • a great beer with a lightly char'ed hunk of beef :)

  • @StuBon Yeas, it is. I've had this with burgers as well as steak and it matches up pretty well.

  • 5.2% ABV is low?!?!

  • @kestrel452 It is on the lower end but I think they wanted something that is very drinkable, almost like a session beer.

  • Good beer, good review. Nice background like others have mentioned.

  • @ESPINOZA316 I agree on all counts!

    Thanks for watching and commenting!

  • i didn't know it was that old, the beer that got me into craft beers. truly a "gateway" beer

  • @frostybob123 Yeah, it's been around a while.

I remember when it first came out. Guess that shows

    how old I am :-)

  • Great review, this beer is one of my personal favorites. I love the scenery and all the birds chirping in this one. Great job!

  • Thanks! The yard is a great place to do reviews, when the weather isn't too humid or wet.

    Thanks for watching.

  • I checked out your review. Very cool! The talking dog was great. I'm subscribing, keep up the reviews!

  • Yeah bud, Fort Collins, my hometown too!

Now I gotta admit, I'm not a big New Belgium fan. I grew up drinking Fort Collins beer, and he's right, there is a cult around Fat Tire. But I was disappointed in it's rather "nutty" taste, not exactly what I'm looking for in a beer.

  • Fat Tire does have a bit of a nutty taste. I like it for the most part. The thing about Fat Tire is that it has a good flavor that seems to appeal to a ton of people which helped it grow very quickly.

Ft Collins a great beer town that's for sure. We miss it.

  • I discovered Fat Tire in 1998 while in Loveland, CO getting married. It's been my favorite ever since, and is readily available in Abilene, TX where I live, but it's 9 bucks a 6-pack, so only on special occasions, unfortunately. This is a GREAT beer. Probably an acquired taste for some people, but definitely has a lot of flavor and personality. I recommend this to anyone who hasn't already given it a try!

  • Fat Tire is a good beer. I think its a great "1st craft beer" for many people who have only had the mega lagers.

  • This brew just became available at ONE store near me (the owner travels out of state to get it, since they don't distribute in FL yet).

Freaking delicious beer, I just wish I could get it cheaper because it could see it being a nice session beer.

    Awesome review as usual!

  • I had this beer a few months ago in Chicago. I remember it was a unique tasting beer. Not to sweet, not to hopy, just a nice blended flavor of a good beer. I'll get it once its in NY! Great review.

  • Fat Tire showed up in Chicago a few months before we left for Atlanta so we're happy to be able to drink it again. It is a good, above basic, beer that nearly everybody seems to like. Hopefully it shows up in NY soon.

  • Great review! Sounds like a quality ale! It's always good for an acclaimed microbrewery to have easy-drinking and yet flavourful beers to offer.

  • It is a good quality beer with a nice balance of flavors and aromas. It's not very intimidating and a lot of "non craft beer" drinkers seem to like it just fine.

  • Biking and Colorado? Man this beer has "Mark" written all over it, eh!?

What kind of beer is this? Sounds like a good one!

  • Yeah, we lived in Colorado for 15 years. You're right, any beer with a bike on the label "has" to be good!

It's an amber ale brewed using a belgian yeast. It is a pretty good beer. They will probably be in NY sometime, they keep expanding across the country.
