I like blind LPs because it's entertaining to see the player react to the things in the game. However, they can get old really fast if they contain too much failure. This can be solved via editing and death montages.

Rehearsed LPs are also interesting when they are informative. In the end in all depends on the commentary, though.

A few days late, but figured I may as well express my opinion: I generally enjoy blind LPs more than rehearsed LPs. The sense of discovery and surprise that LPer goes through while playing the game makes it more entertaining than just "Yeah, so we go here and then this happens. Yay."

But I also like your somewhat-blind LPs, where you haven't played the game in years, but you still remember certain things from it (such as Gex and Ape Escape).

@BikdipOnABus That's odd. I remember in the original game, jumping repeatedly usually made Mario lose only 2 health from burning. I think it was because the game only made the burning do damage while Mario was on the ground even though the burning was on a timer.

Pretty sure it's the other way around. There's a couple levels that start you out with 1 HP by having you start on a platform with fire immediately, and then you fall for the exact amount of time to lose 7 HP before landing.

To those wondering why there is a 15 minute limit on Bidkips videos, it's because Bidkip was suspended at one point (for no real good reason), and youtube won't let people who broke the rules upload videos longer then 15 minutes.

Yes, that's sad but maybe in the future it will be available for everyone.

It's not true. Datai was suspended too and doesn't have the limit. We just have to wait and see if I get it eventually. But I don't want a ton of people begging me for half hour videos on a daily basis.

@BikdipOnABus I believe it is because you never filled out the counter claim for the gex video, not like you could, but thats likely the reason, also all the other videos that youtube removed the audio from. Youtube kept a record of those even though they are removed now.

Well, you could try Audacity's Noise Removal feature, if you want your voice to sound louder in future videos, but it's somewhat iffy sometimes. By that I mean the slider doesn't work quite correctly, you have to move it two notches to the left of what you want your audio to sound like.

I have a random SM64 question. What happens if you collect a star, and then instantly fall to your death? As in, imagine the level where you get the wing cap had 100 coins and a star to go with it. If you collect the 100 coins and then collect the star, but there's no ground to land on after you collect the star, what happens?

Both Blind and Rehearsed have their ups and downs. Rehearsed are more informative, and usually are shorter.(They know where to go, and what to do, which removes random wandering and confusion)However Blind runs are more exciting(most of the time when the game is hard), and are a bit informative as well, they kind of show how the game would be to you if you played it for the first time.
