  • nice Panther, what do you think when we get back to Germany???? as a x-mas gift example........hehehehe joke

  • TOP SUPER VIDEO!!!

  • Note the night vision ,really a infrared lamp with periscopic coupling.this apparatus was used during the defence of berlin .some grenadairs also had similar attachements on their mp44-stg43 but a minature version.

  • Then the gears malfunction and drive into the crowd >:D

  • Sex on tracks!

  • Just take a look at the infrared night vision optics it has for the commander. What an awesome and advanced tank the Panther was!

  • not all the tanks had that, but yes it was very advanced ;) all german made stuff during ww2 was advanced for its age

  • My German Panther lives Yes thats great

  • Modern tanks sounds like vacuum cleaner next to this classic beauty.

  • German tanks FTW!

  • That engine sounds soo sexy :D

  • thats ausf G right?

  • Yep, later model ausf G

  • What a work of art!!!

  • The sound of that engine is beautiful!

Is that an infared scope on top of the turret?

  • yes, for finding targets in the dark. very basic though

  • its a panther. (love the engine)

  • thats not a tiger II its a panther i have a pc game called europe in flames that trust me that tank is to small to be a tiger II trust me its a panther

  • i dont wanna be a smart ass or anything but that is actually a King Tiger.a Panther and a Tiger combined

  • I dont think it had anything to do with a Tiger or a King Tiger. It was about 20 tonnes lighter than the Tigers and was influenced by the Russian T-34.

  • i know it was

  • 'influenced' in terms of sloped armour, but wasnt it more of a 'response to' than an 'influenced by' situation?

  • Yeah I think your right. I should have added response also. I think my reply was to someone who connected it with the Tiger Tanks.

  • If you look at the front of the turret, you will see that it is a Panther...

  • Try not being smart ass next time, then, because the turret and gun mantlet on a Panther are completely different from a King Tiger.

  • the best tank of the war by far, i like the tiger more but this was the best

  • no german tank had diesel engine in ww2. this is a maybach gasoline engine

  • I think this baby had infra red.

This and the Jagpanther were the business.

  • I think that overall this was the best tank of the war. Very good mobility, very good armor, and a excellent gun made this the best tank all-around. Its only drawback was that it came much too late to make any difference in the course of the war, and also that when it came it suffered from a lot malfunctions...

  • u could say the same thing about the russian T-34 which influenced the German panther

  • but at least the T-34 had a diesel engine instead of a gas burning piece of shit

  • the best tank of ww2

  • It gives you chills to see that tank..Could you imagine what it would be like to see that when you are sitting in a Sherman or Cromwell?

  • Yes, like you seeing this vidio.

Have you heard anyting about the word "history"

  • STFU HIPPY

  • its history; pure and simple. No more responsible for what it was used for than a knife and fork. Anyway, if youy dont like it why are you looking? Bugger censoership mind your own business

  • great point mate!! it is a pretty beautiful war machine though

  • i'm nursing a semi just listening to it

  • ""A Nazi instrument of terror and death, and you are all oogling over it."

And I'm sure people in your country wouldn't ogle over a B-29 Superfortress or a Lancaster??

    Oh the irony.

  • YOu are an idiot

  • Actually he has a point. They're all instruments of terror and death. :P

  • Shuttup!!!

  • Nothing wrong with oopling it...you can appreciate the machine for what it was, the best tank in WW2. Just because you like to watch it etc, doesnt mean you support the Nazi's.

  • Plus you cant use the B-29 as an argument as it saved lives by taking them. Could you imagine X-Day...Millions of Marines and Japanese dieing all over, the sea filled with blood, civilians caught in the middle. It would be a lot worse than those 2 A-bombs, Ill tell you that.

  • roars like a big cat!!!!!

  • thats not an engine, its a musical instrument!

  • o yes indeed, pure music!!

  • apparently the engine was a major flaw in the tank as it was an engine designed for planes (hallowed out engine making them much weaker) and used gasolene making them vulnerable to blow up. :x the panther is a masterpeice except the gearing (as it was designed for a much lighter tank making the teeth prone to snap off) and the engine.

  • And another detail:the Germans were highly skilled in engineering the cylinderwalls extremely thin to get a compact as possible engineblock. This ofcourse does not improve the overall cooling of the engine.

  • maybeck fabrecken , makers of marine engines....but i gould be wrong.... google it..

  • they should of used a diesel engine,

  • I would find ways to cuff myself to that thing lol.. look love, it followed me home, can I keep it?

  • If it followed you home, it was trying to run you over.

    :P

  • Its a nice video but i cant help feeling a faint pang as i watch this great machine just going backwards and forwards.

  • on this day or some days, weeks, i dont know, something was broken inside the tank and the coudn`t repair it too untill that day, thats why they could it only move it forward and backward

  • Best tank of WW II.

  • Das ist aber 'ne geile Karre, klingt fast so gut wie ein Spitfire! Gruesse aus der Insel, Arkel :-)

  • Spittfire klingt, der "Koeniger" singt !!!

  • Super 12 Zylinder Maybach !!!

Aber, wo liegt der "Koeniger" ?

Moechte Gerne es zu schauen !

  • Fantastic!!!

  • best second world war tank

  • Wow, what a sound!Only hearing it makes you scared!(imagine how scared were americans in there foxholes when they heared a platoon of panthers)

  • until they broke down

  • the 4th ss panzer division want it back, unfinished business

  • Wow,nice roar!!!! Real Panther roar!

  • The engine sounds better than subaru. Beautiful.

  • What a beauty. Listen to that engine!

  • is that a contemporary engine or is it a real engine?

  • real engine

  • Imagine what a whole company of Panthers sounded like on the move.

  • like a bunch of pieces of shit gas burners

  • They should have let the tank have more space to moveabout, and not just backwards and forwards like a toy.

  • at this event, something was broken inside the tank, tha`s why they only could move the panther forward and backward

  • whoaa a tank is back again,,

was this tank rebuilding engine motor and doing well ??,,

  • I hope they change the engines...otherwise it would be quite expensive to make a long show.

  • That Maybach sounds great. The Bundeswehr had one, they blew the engine at a show in '93.

  • Best tank of the war. the T-34 wasnt as good but they were easier to make.

  • at least the T-34 had a diesel engine

  • T-34 was a good tank, influenced tanks design...hence the Panther which came along, took the best virtues of the T-34 and added a larger weapon..overall, can be argued that the panther based soley on the tank itslef was the best of WW2

  • the panther needed a diesel engine too, gas burners are pieces of shit!!

  • The Germans went with what they had, and when the Panther was on the field, other countries had to keep pace, the T-34 had to be up-gunned as one instance.

  • So it had a diesle engine??? and?? And until it got the 85mm gun, it wasn't really on a par with contemporary designs like the Pz Mk4H. Same thing with the Sherman.

  • I thought I read/heard that it had gasoline a gasoline engine?

  • Yes it has, it runs on petrol.

  • thank you Arkel for these informations. I'm interested by WWII, but I'm specialized in foot soldiers, not tanks.

  • The thing on the top is a "Infrarot-Kommandanten-Zielgerät FG 1250"

  • I just did some research for you guys, it's a Ausf G located in the Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung in Koblenz, Germany

  • some infra-red scopes for night vision were experimented from the middle of the war and a few were available for combat at least 5 months before the end. it included scopes for tanks and foot soldiers. a panther equipped with a night vision scope, it's a bit too much, but not impossible in theory. peace.

  • this Panther is superb. Is it A or G model ?

it's not a D model for sure. I enjoyed this video, watching a Panther moving is not common these days. thanks!!!

  • Holy crap, this Panther has the Infr-Red night vision scope on top for night fighting. I thought that there weren't any more around or are extremely rare.

  • panther G (uhu) or owl, had infrared for night fighting!
