lol at 3:18 a guy using a double bladed axe ,but weapons not existed in the medieval.double bladed axes are made by fantasy writers.the guy even whirlwinding with that weapon like a damn barbarian from diablo 2,maybe idiots used these techniques in medieval.
@beni1645 I agree, the axe is the one supposed to swing around, not the axman, but double bladed axes did existed, they were lumbering tools though, somebody must have used one as a weapon, and fanstasy did the rest as you said
@Dagsschiller yeah,that make sense.the second blade add more weight for the wood chopping and the user can switch the edges if one of them lose sharpness.using these weapons for combat is a bad idea because the extra weight of the other blade makes these weapons too slow and heavy.
it may seem glorious, but my small experience fighting with blunts, seems that your lifespan would have been very short , you cant ask to 'hold' or retire for water,
all in all, id likemto visit, but not stay....
today we have it good, , if your in a decent tier of socioty i.e living in europe or america or australia. even in other places of the world life still would be better than the medieval period unless you live in the war torn afra, then your life IS like the medieval era
Good video but i think it shows an oversized period of time. So I think high or late middle ages and early middle ages are sooooooo different. But quite good pictures and films.
The best part, most people think Plate armour is heavy. The armour we wear today (like Riot shields etc) are actually HEAVIER. So you can't run in armour today, whereas a fit man could run in plate armour god-knows how many years ago.
