You have to check the gear you are going to use as well, its good to spread around, but in the end, if you dont have the right gear, it can be hard to follow plain 20lvl classes like a full sorc. Having Evasion on a toon that isnt going to have more then 14 dex or so.. isnt a good idea, let that to the Wizard/rogue ;) Maybe high dex Sorc/Monk can be good, thats something to check. Manabox is based on Skills, Ressources and versatility. Makes it a great toon to play with ! :) thank you
Its been some time now I have done that built, but I took that Barb, and Bard, because there was no monk class at the time, and my goal was to take only 1 lvl of barb to get Weapon proficiency/Rage/sprint boost/hit dice. I know fighter is great as well, but i dont believe you have Sprint boost as a fighter, check it out. Bard lvl was for Skills mostly, I knew that staying Sorc with 1 lvl or barb was not enough for UMD, so the bard lvl game me 5 or 7 points(depending on cha) UMD...

@astrophob Hey sorry didnt saw that message, youtube error probably, Yeah, that built is a weird one, but it was done in 2009, so its kinda old school when it comes to stuff it can do... still, with some improvements and updates, that toon could prove to be very usefull... Running the Shadows in TOD is a joke for Manabox, Sprint boost for the win. Raise dead and even Ressurection scrolls are no problems, I use Diplo in Party Crasher Epic. For the BAB yeah, its weak, but with improved destruction

@RipTiger0016 If you want to know whats about Manabox Mighty Ox II, you can check the Video description, it tells about the big picture.. But in short, I took the lvl of barbarian early on, lvl 3 if i remember, and I took the lvl of bard at lvl 9 or 11, that was mostly to improve UMD as you get something like 5 or 7 points to skills. But with the prestige classes, today, its may change a lot on feats and enhancements.

@fatcandiru Hey, Great to see you discovered DDo, sadly the game isnt like it use to be, lack of new content and stuff makes old players bored a little, but still, the game have great potencial and dynamics, its very differents, and for Golden Axe hard core player like me, that game was like haven when it came out, the combat system isnt like any others. Bards are really fun to play, just keep in mind that you are a support class above all, but with awesome buffing powers for partys. GG :P
@TheBloaty Hey thanks for the tip, but i have to correct you, when Lava aint deeper they your waist, you wont take any damage jump in and out, if you are Swimming in Lava, then jumping in and out, you will take full lava damage then. Thanks for watching, take care.

@sdsdfhilsdfhsdfh Humm the lvl of Barbarian was in the lower lvls, if i remember correctly, i took it lvl 2, so I was lvl 1 sorc/ 1 barbarian, lvled up sorc after up til lvl 9, so I was able to cast lvl 4 spells, mostly firewall at the time, but now its all changed, but still lvl 8/1 so far, then i took 1 lvl of bard, to improve my UMD and combat ability. At the lower lvl, I used a 2 handed weapon a lot, with fast movement and sprint boost, you move quickly, but no prestige class bonus or cap.
@ffxme hehe, you wont tell me how to play this game seriously, for lava to do damage on you when stepping in it, it needs to be a lot deeper then this, this was only running in, so no damage if you have fire resistance. thanks for watching.

@UnknownGamerX Fairly easy, take a warforg, put max cha and con, Take every Meta feat for spells, drop heighten at the end, go fire/ice spec, get every item/weapons to improve your fire/ice and every spells if possible, like Superior Potency and Major lore. The rest is up to the player, if you know the basics, any WF wizard or sorcerer will be a powerfull toon.
@MushroomDisorder VIP came up last year btw....what is sad, is people giving their vision of a game when they havent played more then a year... Yes the game repeat itself, but what other games out there doesnt anyway, You get xp, you kill mobs or players, you do quests, isnt it the same? Theres no other game that have the awesome combat mechanics of DDo and thats a fact. Anyway, arguing for a game is like music taste, who cares about what you like or dislike.

@Prodigy492 Hey, the paths arent bad, if you want to save more mana, use weapons, but for that, you need Str, I would suggest putting some Str, cha, con, for basic stats, at least 14 str, and use high damage weapons, such as Greataxe, theres a lvl 1 spell call Master's touch, really helpfull for melee weapons, use a lot of fire/ice spells, if you can, buy repair wands, to help saving mana on self healing... and in party, let other kills the basic mobs, focus on high damaging mobs :) gl
@Zero1189 Well, you got it pretty much figured out with the Warforged Wizard. You can repair yourself and that really the best thing about it. Bring scrolls with you, for the spells you dont use often and that you dont want to study in your spellbook. Use Repair scrolls at higher lvls to heal yourself without using mana. Go all the way fire spec user, theres not much use for acid and electric still in the end game. Boost your HP and SP the best you can.
@Theuf28 yeah, i got my lvl 6 spells yesterday, im more of a fire and ice spec. i got about 850 sp and 110 hp, im lvl 11 now. i mostly carry around frost lance,scorch ray, fire wall, cone of cold and repair major damage. buffs i carry around are blur, exped. retreat, stoneskin, mage armor, fire/colds sheild. i only have maximize and empower during quests, in pvp i have those and quicken and expand and heighten.

Quicken the meta-magic feat IS a must have :3 I have a FvS lvl 13 he has quicken,hes a heal spec(you may have seen habarata in pvp somwhere in khyber);)
@Theuf28 hehe, Manabox on Ghallanda is lvl 18/1/1 Sorcerer/bard/barbarian, really like it, hes very versatile and capable on any setting quest. Good overall build.
@bogart99 Because quicken allows you to cast without getting concentration failures, there for putting skill points else where then concentration. And you cast faster, and have enough mana to affort the 10sp that it takes.. And not to say that when you play on Epic and elite setting later on, its a must to have. And as a personnal choice.
@Theuf28 I have Tried quicken as wizard but I have never really seen the need for it may ask what the other skills are that your putting points into. Nice vid btw.
@bogart99 Manabox is a UMD user, I can use Heal scrolls and Raise deads and such, got a 42 umd unbuff.. It come really helpfull. Got Diplomacy/intimidate/bluff maxed as well
im so SLOW at lvling, :( i started about a half a year ago and im only lvl 6!!! :,( im a 4barb-1rogue-1fighter. can you give me some helpful advice? i only play on fridays and saturdays.
@sassygreebo14 I cant really help you out to lvl faster.. you need to play more and with the right person, playing solo in DDo isnt gonna get you nowhere. Triple class for your 1st toon, is a bad idea, you want to understand the game. Playing a triple class is more suited to someone who have played a couple of months. Barbarian is good to start with, but wont be able to solo much. If your F2p, youll need to grind some of the same quests you did already on a harder setting maybe.. good gaming.
@sassygreebo14 You should do: Redwillows ruins Normal/Hard/Elite. Gwylands stand n/h/e. Tear of Dhakaan n/h/e. Then Deleras tomb all undead (P2p) When u did that u should be lvl 7-8. Then u can start higher lvl Adventures. My main is Prematon on Cannith
@Hasharu Mixed 1 lvl of Barbarian for sprint boost, fast movement, hd12, and weapon martial ability and 1 lvl or Bard, to have a good UMD, gained like 5 or 7 points just with 1 lvl of bard. Since lvl 18 sorc or 19 doesnt really change something, its a good mix for low and high lvl stuff.
@EtSwat Any built is fine in ddo, what makes it really better, is the person playing it. If you want to have it easy at 1st, in ddo, go Melee. I dont know what more to say, theres no better built vs PVE in DDo.
@rekinu5 Yep, the power of a Sorcerer is hes ultra fast casting time and limited spell choices making them mostly deadly when well focused. Wizards have other powers...but i just prefer the brute strength of charisma of a Sorcerer, heheheh. :P
@Theuf28 well yeah, sorceres are the best spammers and thats the best side abt a sorcerer, i mean i have never seen a Wizzy cast fireball , lightning ball, acid blast one after the other on and on . and yes i am really fast. fast enough2 put up cloudkill and firewall when the wizzy just starts channeling the spell xD

Sorry I'm gunna have to say it. I've played DDO before, recently in fact. The game was fun at first, but then...I got tired of waiting to level up. The leveling system in DDO is five times slower than normal D&D, and D&D is REALLY slow, at least once you pass the first few levels. I got up to level five, and at that point, I had a lot of trouble continuing, the quests I could do didn't level me enough, and the ones I couldn't do, well, I couldn't do them. So my question is, how did you continue?
Did you played with groups, are tried to solo your way up? because in D&D, paper or online, youll need friends to play. I think you didnt had the experience the game should have gave you, because you werent lucky with groups, i dont think it takes that long to lvl, because in 15 days, i managed to get a lvl 20 wf sorcerer Called Manabox ;) best wish for you that youll get another try on Ghallanda.
Wow really? Only 15 days? For groups I usually played with my two friends and brother. I played each day for about 3-4 hours, most days anyway, and got up to level 5. Maybe I'll try it out again. I haven't deleted it yet! Do you have any tips?
well, ive been playing with some of the same ppl i played with over 4 years, so it helped a bit, but like you said, playing with your brother and friends only wont get you far in this game, yeah it may be fun, but to get the whole thing out of this game, you need to grind it up, like any other mmos. Yeah it takes longer in Ddo to lvl, if you dont know where to go, but the game have 20 lvl max, it would be stupid to be able to lvl up to 20 in 3 4 days.
I agree, I guess I just find it difficult to go through the same quests multiple times to level up, grinding is cool with me, I play a lot of MMOs, it's just that grinding in DDO (in my experience please let me know if there is another way) is doing the quests multiple times, with the exp penalty it makes this tougher to do, although I don't think there shouldn't be one. I just want to be able to grind in wilderness, fighting monsters, and without entering and leaving a town to reload them. :/
Yeah, well, its like, i wouldnt like playing Wow, because i dont like the graphics and game play. Ddo is another kind of mmo, nothing to compare, because its based on the paper game. The terms and spells are knowns for years in the community, even before it came online. Most new comers dont understand the whole Dongeons and Dragons Era, and the dinamic included in the online version, its not like any other mmos. ;) just a exemple :
Yea, I play D&D with my friends, I was surprised and kinda excited to when we found out about DDO! Also I'll just have to say, before I go on, I really don't like WoW either. I have to admit, the first thing I was disappointed with was the lack of evil clerics, my favorite class, lol. I wanted to summon undead and animate, though I see why they couldn't add it. The second thing we noticed was how similar it was, and the third was the slow leveling. We had a hard time adjusting to it.
My 2 real life friends started playing like 3 4 months ago, and at 1st, they didnt like it, it was hard to get a lvl, and ppl to play with, like any mmos. Told them give it some time, and get to lvl 10 at least, now they are lvl 15 and are addicted.. begining crafting and different kind of quest that you get from the starting ground. It cant have Open areas like wow, because its not pvp based, reward in chest are yours, so no ganking, and such, thats mostly why ppl dont like it. :( sadly.
Yep fighters get extra feats. Get great gear for a fighter its important. Its mostly why a fighter is powerfull, its gear. Pali's rock with the right weapons. TIP, you wont get it right the 1st time.. so give it some time. ;)
I would like to know the diference betwen the monk, the bard and the cleric cuz i always liked to do support classes but i realy don t know what are the + and the - of that classes. I see you know well the game could you please help me whit that? (:
Those are 3 very different classes: Bard have the power to Use magical devices, such as devine/arcane scrolls and race required weapons/items. With dex and a good ranging weapon, you can help out droping ac, str, con or any stat damage to lower mobs resistances, without being attacked to much.
Cleric isnt a support classe, Its a main healer in a party, dont expect to be good at melee with a cleric, most parties will ask you to heal only, and keeping a party alive is a challenging task sometimes... :P your spells are gonna help you and your party, very important classe in DDo.
As for monk : well, thats about the only classe i really dont care about. Therefor i dont really know whats good or bad, but most monks are pretty decent, as a main tank even sometimes. Its a blend of a support classe and a main party member when well equiped.. every classes should have the right gear anyway, but monks tend to be powerfull when you know where your going with it. So i wouldnt recommend it at 1st.
Good support classes are Paladins(depend on the build), Bards, Rangers(very powerfull all around), buffing Wizards, Monks (with the right focus), Favored souls tend to be more powerfull healers then fighters so, its a very good support classe, when no clerics around.
ehheeh give it some time, its a complex game when you didnt play the real book and paper game. I play on Cannith server and on Ghallanda, but i dont really have low lvl toon atm. Ill be glad to help you out with some tips if you find me. Look for Manabox mostly.
My tips are, play with a full party, find ppl that know what they are doing, put them in your friends list, and ask when they log if they can help you out. Listen to orders from party leader when he knows what to do. If you start from scrach, its a little bit harder, because you cant buy stuff for your lower lvl toons. F2p is ok, but it wont let you do the better xp/reward quests ingame. Dont fear to ask questions, if you dont know what to do. When not questing, do slayers and discoveries.
I was lvl 11 sorcerer /1 bard /1 barb...(28 points) in that video, it was on Elite setting, we ran it 1 time prior then that, so the group was powerfull enough. Some even tried to do it Naked... anyway lol, I had Maximize on, with superior potency 4 scepter in 1 hand, Major fire lore weapon in off hand plus all fire spec enhancements.

Firstly,How can you tank as a barb?While raging,You cant cast spells.How about,For example Fighter?Monk?

If evasion is VERY low,You can get off High level slots and get 16Sorc/2rough or monk/2Paladin for divine grace and awesome evasion.

@UnknownGamerX Fairly easy, take a warforg, put max cha and con, Take every Meta feat for spells, drop heighten at the end, go fire/ice spec, get every item/weapons to improve your fire/ice and every spells if possible, like Superior Potency and Major lore. The rest is up to the player, if you know the basics, any WF wizard or sorcerer will be a powerfull toon.

I was a VIP account(luckily).
After a while my net started making problems,in the end I had to stop playing it.
Anyways,the problem in DDO is that its repeating it self...
Every new character you make has to do the same as the ones befor...
And it just loses the fun of the game.

@MushroomDisorder VIP came up last year btw....what is sad, is people giving their vision of a game when they havent played more then a year... Yes the game repeat itself, but what other games out there doesnt anyway, You get xp, you kill mobs or players, you do quests, isnt it the same? Theres no other game that have the awesome combat mechanics of DDo and thats a fact. Anyway, arguing for a game is like music taste, who cares about what you like or dislike.

@Prodigy492 Hey, the paths arent bad, if you want to save more mana, use weapons, but for that, you need Str, I would suggest putting some Str, cha, con, for basic stats, at least 14 str, and use high damage weapons, such as Greataxe, theres a lvl 1 spell call Master's touch, really helpfull for melee weapons, use a lot of fire/ice spells, if you can, buy repair wands, to help saving mana on self healing... and in party, let other kills the basic mobs, focus on high damaging mobs :) gl

@Zero1189 Well, you got it pretty much figured out with the Warforged Wizard. You can repair yourself and that really the best thing about it. Bring scrolls with you, for the spells you dont use often and that you dont want to study in your spellbook. Use Repair scrolls at higher lvls to heal yourself without using mana. Go all the way fire spec user, theres not much use for acid and electric still in the end game. Boost your HP and SP the best you can.

@Theuf28 yeah, i got my lvl 6 spells yesterday, im more of a fire and ice spec. i got about 850 sp and 110 hp, im lvl 11 now. i mostly carry around frost lance,scorch ray, fire wall, cone of cold and repair major damage. buffs i carry around are blur, exped. retreat, stoneskin, mage armor, fire/colds sheild. i only have maximize and empower during quests, in pvp i have those and quicken and expand and heighten.

Quicken the meta-magic feat IS a must have :3 I have a FvS lvl 13 he has quicken,hes a heal spec(you may have seen habarata in pvp somwhere in khyber);)

@bogart99 Because quicken allows you to cast without getting concentration failures, there for putting skill points else where then concentration. And you cast faster, and have enough mana to affort the 10sp that it takes.. And not to say that when you play on Epic and elite setting later on, its a must to have. And as a personnal choice.

@bogart99 Manabox is a UMD user, I can use Heal scrolls and Raise deads and such, got a 42 umd unbuff.. It come really helpfull. Got Diplomacy/intimidate/bluff maxed as well

im so SLOW at lvling, :( i started about a half a year ago and im only lvl 6!!! :,( im a 4barb-1rogue-1fighter. can you give me some helpful advice? i only play on fridays and saturdays.

@sassygreebo14 I cant really help you out to lvl faster.. you need to play more and with the right person, playing solo in DDo isnt gonna get you nowhere. Triple class for your 1st toon, is a bad idea, you want to understand the game. Playing a triple class is more suited to someone who have played a couple of months. Barbarian is good to start with, but wont be able to solo much. If your F2p, youll need to grind some of the same quests you did already on a harder setting maybe.. good gaming.

@sassygreebo14 You should do: Redwillows ruins Normal/Hard/Elite. Gwylands stand n/h/e. Tear of Dhakaan n/h/e. Then Deleras tomb all undead (P2p) When u did that u should be lvl 7-8. Then u can start higher lvl Adventures. My main is Prematon on Cannith

@Hasharu Mixed 1 lvl of Barbarian for sprint boost, fast movement, hd12, and weapon martial ability and 1 lvl or Bard, to have a good UMD, gained like 5 or 7 points just with 1 lvl of bard. Since lvl 18 sorc or 19 doesnt really change something, its a good mix for low and high lvl stuff.

@EtSwat Any built is fine in ddo, what makes it really better, is the person playing it. If you want to have it easy at 1st, in ddo, go Melee. I dont know what more to say, theres no better built vs PVE in DDo.

@rekinu5 Yep, the power of a Sorcerer is hes ultra fast casting time and limited spell choices making them mostly deadly when well focused. Wizards have other powers...but i just prefer the brute strength of charisma of a Sorcerer, heheheh. :P

@Theuf28 well yeah, sorceres are the best spammers and thats the best side abt a sorcerer, i mean i have never seen a Wizzy cast fireball , lightning ball, acid blast one after the other on and on . and yes i am really fast. fast enough2 put up cloudkill and firewall when the wizzy just starts channeling the spell xD

Hehe thanks for watching, my main server is Ghallanda, so youll find most of my toons there, unfortunatly, Manabox either on Cannith or on Ghallanda is built for Pvp fighting, so its no point to fight for i dont know what. Glad that you play the game though, keep playing and pvp aint gonna tell anything about a built. trust me ;)

Sorry I'm gunna have to say it. I've played DDO before, recently in fact. The game was fun at first, but then...I got tired of waiting to level up. The leveling system in DDO is five times slower than normal D&D, and D&D is REALLY slow, at least once you pass the first few levels. I got up to level five, and at that point, I had a lot of trouble continuing, the quests I could do didn't level me enough, and the ones I couldn't do, well, I couldn't do them. So my question is, how did you continue?

Did you played with groups, are tried to solo your way up? because in D&D, paper or online, youll need friends to play. I think you didnt had the experience the game should have gave you, because you werent lucky with groups, i dont think it takes that long to lvl, because in 15 days, i managed to get a lvl 20 wf sorcerer Called Manabox ;) best wish for you that youll get another try on Ghallanda.

Wow really? Only 15 days? For groups I usually played with my two friends and brother. I played each day for about 3-4 hours, most days anyway, and got up to level 5. Maybe I'll try it out again. I haven't deleted it yet! Do you have any tips?

well, ive been playing with some of the same ppl i played with over 4 years, so it helped a bit, but like you said, playing with your brother and friends only wont get you far in this game, yeah it may be fun, but to get the whole thing out of this game, you need to grind it up, like any other mmos. Yeah it takes longer in Ddo to lvl, if you dont know where to go, but the game have 20 lvl max, it would be stupid to be able to lvl up to 20 in 3 4 days.

I agree, I guess I just find it difficult to go through the same quests multiple times to level up, grinding is cool with me, I play a lot of MMOs, it's just that grinding in DDO (in my experience please let me know if there is another way) is doing the quests multiple times, with the exp penalty it makes this tougher to do, although I don't think there shouldn't be one. I just want to be able to grind in wilderness, fighting monsters, and without entering and leaving a town to reload them. :/

Yeah, well, its like, i wouldnt like playing Wow, because i dont like the graphics and game play. Ddo is another kind of mmo, nothing to compare, because its based on the paper game. The terms and spells are knowns for years in the community, even before it came online. Most new comers dont understand the whole Dongeons and Dragons Era, and the dinamic included in the online version, its not like any other mmos. ;) just a exemple :

Yea, I play D&D with my friends, I was surprised and kinda excited to when we found out about DDO! Also I'll just have to say, before I go on, I really don't like WoW either. I have to admit, the first thing I was disappointed with was the lack of evil clerics, my favorite class, lol. I wanted to summon undead and animate, though I see why they couldn't add it. The second thing we noticed was how similar it was, and the third was the slow leveling. We had a hard time adjusting to it.

My 2 real life friends started playing like 3 4 months ago, and at 1st, they didnt like it, it was hard to get a lvl, and ppl to play with, like any mmos. Told them give it some time, and get to lvl 10 at least, now they are lvl 15 and are addicted.. begining crafting and different kind of quest that you get from the starting ground. It cant have Open areas like wow, because its not pvp based, reward in chest are yours, so no ganking, and such, thats mostly why ppl dont like it. :( sadly.

Yep fighters get extra feats. Get great gear for a fighter its important. Its mostly why a fighter is powerfull, its gear. Pali's rock with the right weapons. TIP, you wont get it right the 1st time.. so give it some time. ;)

I would like to know the diference betwen the monk, the bard and the cleric cuz i always liked to do support classes but i realy don t know what are the + and the - of that classes. I see you know well the game could you please help me whit that? (:

Those are 3 very different classes: Bard have the power to Use magical devices, such as devine/arcane scrolls and race required weapons/items. With dex and a good ranging weapon, you can help out droping ac, str, con or any stat damage to lower mobs resistances, without being attacked to much.

Cleric isnt a support classe, Its a main healer in a party, dont expect to be good at melee with a cleric, most parties will ask you to heal only, and keeping a party alive is a challenging task sometimes... :P your spells are gonna help you and your party, very important classe in DDo.

As for monk : well, thats about the only classe i really dont care about. Therefor i dont really know whats good or bad, but most monks are pretty decent, as a main tank even sometimes. Its a blend of a support classe and a main party member when well equiped.. every classes should have the right gear anyway, but monks tend to be powerfull when you know where your going with it. So i wouldnt recommend it at 1st.

Good support classes are Paladins(depend on the build), Bards, Rangers(very powerfull all around), buffing Wizards, Monks (with the right focus), Favored souls tend to be more powerfull healers then fighters so, its a very good support classe, when no clerics around.

ehheeh give it some time, its a complex game when you didnt play the real book and paper game. I play on Cannith server and on Ghallanda, but i dont really have low lvl toon atm. Ill be glad to help you out with some tips if you find me. Look for Manabox mostly.

My tips are, play with a full party, find ppl that know what they are doing, put them in your friends list, and ask when they log if they can help you out. Listen to orders from party leader when he knows what to do. If you start from scrach, its a little bit harder, because you cant buy stuff for your lower lvl toons. F2p is ok, but it wont let you do the better xp/reward quests ingame. Dont fear to ask questions, if you dont know what to do. When not questing, do slayers and discoveries.

I was lvl 11 sorcerer /1 bard /1 barb...(28 points) in that video, it was on Elite setting, we ran it 1 time prior then that, so the group was powerfull enough. Some even tried to do it Naked... anyway lol, I had Maximize on, with superior potency 4 scepter in 1 hand, Major fire lore weapon in off hand plus all fire spec enhancements.
