there really isn't "an original english dubbed version", so sorry for saying they aren't the original lyrics, HOWEVER compared to alot of the other translated versions of this song (as in different people tanslating) it isn't similar, but I can't be sure since I can't translate Japanese. Oh and after hearing it again you can sing well as Kyon.

I really like it. My only minor quibble is I sort of wish in the first line the word "solve" wasn't repeated. Repeated within the same line it sounds a bit funny. I can't think of any lines that sound better, have the right amount of syllables and mean the same thing. I've toyed with: "A simple puzzle to crack." but crack is such a harsh sounding word for the end of a line. I guess the line you've got is good enough.

In the talking part (not at the beginning, the parts within verses) your voice difference is very noticeable its a little strange considering I'm pretty sure it's easier to change a talking voice than a singing one

also they don't seem to blend in as much

to get around all that though you could just use Audacity and do the talking parts separately then overlap it with the singing

so it's smooth :)

Nice for a little bit at the beginning you really sounded like Freeman and I like the fact that you actually paid attention to the syllables

By around the chorus parts I notice your voice seems to shift a bit I know that that will happen when singing but it seems a bit more...noticeable? (I can't think of a better word at the moment) Than normal of course I realize it's probably hard to try to deal with the voice and the chorus of all parts together

Wow, your voice fits Kyon really well. Most of the time, english translations of his song are sung with a too high voice or not enough of a rough voice throughout the whole song, but I thought that this was low and rough enough for Kyon. :) The lyrics were really good too. I found maybe the lines in between the song lyrics could have used a little more Kyon-ness. Besides that, THIS WAS GREAT! XD One question, did you have to try to have your voice fit Kyon's or does it naturally sound that way?

I do need to drop my voice a little for Kyon. Any acting/singing voice has to be different from a normal talking voice, of course. But other than that, I'd like to think I sound like Kyon.

I took his opening monologue and spliced it into thirteen parts so that I could get Crispin Freeman's voice down, and listened to Kyon's Hare Hare Yukai many times to prepare.

I wrote the lyrics off of animelyrics. The reason that it sounds different is because I edited the lyrics to fit with the song more than the other dubs on YouTube.

If you look at the lyrics in the info section, you'll notice I counted the lyrics in the Japanese, notated them, and then matched my created English lyrics with them. I tend to think that, in such, I created more accurate lyrics to the melody than any other fandubber's lyrics.
