  • I somehow misplaced my Discotheque single CD, so I'm very glad this is available here! Always been my favorite mix of this song, and arguably also one of my all-time U2 fave's!

  • Ahh finally... Thanks for uploading this! And great video. Well done!

  • Michael Perlitch Title Rip Off From 1972 Keyboard Tales!

  • ahh the memories associated with that song.......god i miss the 90s

  • i sent u2 world service in the 90s a chick comic could the chick comic have influenced this song chick comics equip.org

  • This has nothing to do with HOLY JOE ROCK AND ROLL - also available on you tube

  • Guys,Am I the only one who thinks that Edge here is pumped up???LA BOMBA

  • the best band of all times

  • Doesn anyone know any MP3 WEBSITES THAT DON'T INFECT YOUR COMPUTER WITH VIRUSES, so I could potentially get this song? It's by far one of my favorite U2 B-Sides recorded during the 90's.

  • Comment removed

  • finally found it

  • I thought I owned every one of their tracks, but this one slipped by me!!

  • Edge is pumped up!!!!!!!!!!!!YEAH

  • This should have been on POP also.

  • Where can I find this!! It's not on iTunes!!! Their most overlooked B-Sides recorded during the "Pop" sessions, and I can't find it on ITUNES!! : /

  • Buy the single

  • Anyway it was a B-side of of Discotheuqe from Pop

  • I love this song!

  • it's the first time I've listened to this song, but it's GREAT. And I mean GREAT, not just great :)

  • this is well good

  • DIXIE

  • Awesome. I still have this off the Discotheque single. Even their unreleased stuff is better than over half the crap on the radio!

  • So true,keep rocking man,ignore 00's shit

  • @trahenir23 thats how it is most of the time. the song "Always" was supposed to be "Beautiful Day" until they changed it. Always will kick Beautiful Day's ass any day of the week in my opinion.

  • This is on the Discothéque single, by the way guys.

  • GENIUS

  • What album is this song on?

  • is a b-side released on the Discotheque single

  • It is a B-side of Discotheque

  • He is a b-side from the Single Discotheque, released for the album POP at the ending of 1996

  • great tune, can't find it anywhere but here since they took their box set off of itunes...

  • One question,as i can see this is a mix of Holy Joe,does anyone know how to find the original?

  • This is actually the "original" version. There was a slower version with a more sultry mix, less guitar driven. This is the better one and similar to the live version at K-mart.

  • I Know this now,I bought the Single :}

  • yeah, the other mix is the guilty mix. Garage mix (this one) rocks!! it shoud've been on pop between staring at the sun and last night on earth

  • Why this was not on Pop is beyond me. You can clearly see how U2 couldn't totally abandon their rock roots and never will!!!!

  • U2 = PLATINUM

  • BEST U2 SONG EVER.

    I love the ending.

    Bow wow wow.

  • TUUNNEEEE!!!!!!

  • Edge is also hatless in some parts of Discotheque video. But this was live! Anyway, he's even more cool like this.

  • awesome, b-sides from U2 are like gold!

  • MacPhisto09, the b-sides aren't gold...they're PLATINUM!!!

  • He was close enough when he said "like gold" - you got it there mate!

  • Edge without a hat!

  • its THE Edge ha!:P

  • You just gotta love this song, man!!!

  • Yeah, I've always dug this B-side from the "Pop" era.

  • @anacrobat89 the only downside is the complete lack of b-sides from this era, instead we were immersed in remixes ad infinitum.

I will die a happy man if i can break into their studios and steal all their unreleased works...........

  • awesome track !!!

  • This could be easy in PoP

  • U2's best B-side of the 90's, the other is Lady With The Spinning Head.

  • and with "salome" and "where did it all go wrong" and "always" and "big girls are best"

  • The Joshua Tree was such an amazing album,it's so difficult to create somethig of that standard again. Zooropa and Pop are most definately underated albums, they perfectly fit where U2 were at those moments in time, HTDAAB and ALYCLB see U2 at their very best, they are on a roll commercially and sonicly if such a word exsists, Their form is goning to continue onto the new album NLOTH I can almost feel how good this album is going to be

  • perfectly said!

  • Best U2 song ever.

    Pitty that it's a B-side.

  • Great song, i remember the gigantic screen in that tour, awesome.

  • Awesome music, but the lyrics are really simplistic.

  • You guys are all wrong...'Miami' was an awesome song where they got to experiment and it flowed well with Playboy Mansion. Pop was one of their most underrated albums and I think that U2 fans that like Joshua Tree and their mainstream stuff do not really understand the going above and beyond their original sound. Holy Joe rocks!

  • @timpak i'm sorry but miami and the playboy mansion constitute the weakest part of pop, they should've included holy joe instead of those two

  • @eah777

i don't think so, holy joe is a great song but has a similar sound to discotheque, do you feel loved and mofo, miami and the playboy mansion are completely different, maybe they could substitute holy joe with do you feel loved (Japan version of Pop has Holy Joe as bonus track!)

  • @TheFly587 i meant it in the way that Pop could have been a more solid album with just Holy Joe instead of Miami and Playboy Mansion, including Holy Joe not as a japan bonus but a full album track, but hey! it's just my opinion, because i like Pop and all but i find myself skipping those two tracks everytime (Miami and Playboy Mansion).

  • @eah777

i love miami but i prefer the live version! playboy mansion is good and has great lyrics---> if coke is a mistery, michael jackson HIStory :)

  • @timpak

I love Pop and I love Joshua Tree. I think it's a matter of growing with the band as they evolve. They're both U2.

I get what you mean about the mainstream, though. How dull.

  • @timpak I must be different then, my favorite two albums Pop and The Joshua Tree. Definitely appreciate both albums.

  • holy shit, i had only heard the "Guitly Mix". this must be the "Garage Mix", it blows the other away.

  • very shagadelic baby...

  • it shud have replaced miami or playboy mansion

  • I loved the whole pop era but i can see why people might of missed the boat.

  • Wake up dead man rocks! Like The Wanderer

  • Miami was terrible but Wake up dead man is the best song on the album!

  • yeah, miami really sucks this should have replaced it

  • Damn this should of replaced Miami or wake up dead man on the album.
