I definitely have a few new tricks to try after seeing this speed run. I've never even thought to try bombing Kraid, nor have I ever used bomb-jumping and regular jumping together to do a super high jump. Amazing, truly amazing.

So often this ending is referenced as the reason why Samus is okay to sexualize, but y'know, they only had so many pixels to work with then. Really, I couldn't even recognize she was a girl when the helmet came off. In my mind, they kind of needed the bikini and leotard to help drive the message home.

Today though, it's purely for faps. The artist in Fusion showed a respectful take on her though. That guy actually drew her with a body type that made sense.

You can kind of bounce them away with the Screw Attack; it won't actually hurt them, though.

Do what I did... Skip this and get the incredible remake Metroid: Zero Mission. That game rocks so hard.

It adds everything a metroid fan would love about the first + better graphics, story, sound, control... err pretty much it was the best remake of a game I've ever seen EVER! I'd put zero mission above Super metroid even! Was like a mesh of Metroid + Super Metroid + Metroid Fusion.

It looks like you took a huge shortcut with that jumping on the flying thing.

I never got far in this game. I had no idea where to go. It was hard and discouraging. That's why I loved the "Super" one so much -- 'cause you got maps and a ton more items, not to mention you could duck and shoot all the way across the screen. ^_^

This game is still epic though. The music is awesome too.
