The final question does have a good point. I think the focus should be on demonstrating net energy period. If that is accomplished and verified with good science, then we should see orders of magnitude greater amounts move just due to changes in investment choices in the rest of the economy.
These quantities are basically nothing compared to the talk of the impacts.
