  • I need some advice During the 4th of july week this past year my English mastiff ran away due to the fireworks. She is extremely afraid of loud noises whether it be semis, garbage trucks, or thunder. She was gone for about 6 days out in the country. One of our neighbors found her and brought her back. We then went to do one of our favorite things together (go to the dog park) and she attacked just about anything she could get to.I own an e collar. Should i use it on her for this problem?

  • @dandiandi1989 you really need to collar condition her for obedience first then use the collar ti address the issues you should get My ebook, which collar do you have??

  • @panzertoo it's by elite tek. it's the ET-9868s-350s. it has both the shock and vibrate settings at 7 different intensities. we think while she was gone that she was bothered by either coyotes or foxes because she is fine with our other male mastiff. She just really dislikes most smaller dogs and dogs that bark. that sends her into the "red" zone. I have been using body blocking with her to break her fixation on the other dog. also, do i find your ebook on your website?

  • @dandiandi1989 let me look that collar up but it does not sound like a professional model do you have any video of her??

  • @panzertoo no i don't have any video of her. usually her episodes don't happen every time we see a dog. it's only some that get to her. but she will try and escape from her collar to get to them. we have been having her sit and turn away from the dog when she gets into the mode of attack.

  • exercise exercise exercise. Its gna take awhile. But being on top of the exercise and the owner is a must! or it will NEVERRRR work out! Do you go counter clockwise too? sometimes they do well when you do the same thing over and over..but u get diff, reactions when u change it up. BTW- LOVE THE LOOSE LEASH TRAINING! :D keep it up1!!

  • @qpKamiKazeeqp I can train the dog just fine thru some exercise and training. but its the owners... they ask u do to this.. you put all ur efforts into it... and they only put forth the efforts like 2 days and then quit and wonders why the pup has went back to the behavior. tryin to politly edjucate them that its NOT the dog..but their actions or lack of intrest in the dogs reactions to things that is making the complete training inpossible. any tips?! LOL

  • All I can say is unbelievable!!! It's like watching a different dog.
