Autism & Mental Retardation are as old as the Bible - BUT, perhaps until the 20th century, only 1/5000 people would have had them.

From the 1950s until the 1990s, this jumped to 1/1000, and from 1990 on, 1 in 167 have been diagnosed somewhere in the autistic spectrum.

Why? Call it "industrial age disorder", not to mention that vaccination became pretty much routine in the 1930s, about the time "Asperger syndrome" was formally diagnosed.

lol your idea of vaccines was debunked. that was obviously junk from the beginning. (not to offend you personally i just hate it when people act like autism is a plague.) many famous people have it. and 1 in 167 people has not been proven. it is a liberal estimation. so far only 1 in 3000 have actually been diagnosed and it is because they have lowered and widened the standards a bit to fit severe ADHD people who may be just as severe as Aspergers but get no support from the government.

Based on all that I have heard, read, or watched about Autism, I think that anyone diagnosed with any type of Autism should be screened immediately for elevated levels of heavy metals:

-Lead

-Mercury

-Arsenic

-Aluminum, etc

If any of the above, particularly Lead or Mercury, are even mildly elevated, the effects of the presence of such metals in the blood and brain cells should be researched, and attempts made to chelate the metals from the system.
