  • I can't tell if Gilmour or Waters does a better job singing this!

  • am i stoned? DO YOU FEEL STONED?

  • Greatest scene from due date.

  • Jon Carin's very good with the last bit of vocals!!

  • man o man..DG has an angelic voice

  • 5 Stars

  • Floyd 4 Ever!

  • It's a shame it isn't on the DVD (i really want to see the light effects during this song) but the PULSE album version of this is amazing...

  • OMG gilmour rocks!!!

  • probably didn't include it on Pulse because Carin struggles with the highest notes during "don't tell me there's no hope at all".... it's hard to reach for most

  • @shaneomac0393 it's not on the pulse dvd cause the dvd is from only one concert at the london earls court, and they didn't play the song on that evening. the pulse cd is from various gigs of the europe tour, and therefore it is on the cd.

  • @shaneomac0393 What's funny to me, is that the 'struggle' to reach that register just added to the emotional conveyance of this song. It really made it feel so genuine. I loved that about it.

  • @fantomfox2 i feel where you're coming from, fox, and i agree.... just simply stating that Carin's ability to do that song to it's potential doesn't match up with the otherwise flawlessness of the rest of the concert performed at Earl's Court in '94... hence, not performing that particular version and/or not putting it in the final cut of the PULSE Concert Video

  • @shaneomac0393 It's not on there because the dvd editors wanted to fit it all on one dvd. They could only do this by cutting songs out. Obviously it didn't work for is had to be on two dvd's (or did they get it onto one dvd?).

  • @shaneomac0393 more likely to make you buy the cd AND the dvd.

  • Jon Carin does a great job here. DG is always good. I'm having a hard time getting the dvd of this tour and the Obscured by Clouds cd !

  • I LOVE YOU PINK FLOYD <3

  • Cant believe they didnt include this on the DVD. I'm sure it had to to do with Legality because of Roger.

  • The DVD is of one show, they just didn't play this song on the night it was filmed. I suppose they could have included it in the "Bootlegging the Bootleggers" segment or something...I think the DVD having One of These Days on it makes up for the lack of this song though. Plus I think it's cool that the CD and DVD versions have different songs, makes buying both of them worth it.

  • @rdaws73 No! Things had settled by the early 90's. The only material Roger Waters had full control and sole right over by then was 'The Final Cut', but David, Nick and Rick would never play something from that anyway. It's so far from what classic Pink Floyd was, and Rick was gone by the time they did that record too.

  • this is something unbelievable ...

  • jon carin

  • who sang that last bit?

  • this is Waters singing right?

  • no this is Waterless Floyd...1994

  • dry floyd. :P

  • @ATROCITYXxX Waters doesn't have the range to sing this anymore. This is David Gilmour-era Pink Floyd

  • very nice! i ve seen then in Bordeaux

the division bell between who have seen them and who havent! Viva pink Floyd!!!!

  • pink floyd fucking rocks

  • I just watched this entire DVD like 2 weeks ago and I was really impressed with the singing. It sounded almost just like Waters.

  • i used to think it was wright who sung it on the pulse cd but no, jon carin did.

ps what dvd do you mean because my pulse dvd doesnt have this song???

  • I mean pulse, I believe it was part of the encore on the second disk.

  • its not on my Pulse DVD,

  • this song isnt on my dvd either

  • nah its not the same without roger ......atleast in the end part....though a good try

  • i think the fact that pink floyd have had so many different leaders makes them a great band because theyve never been able to rest on their laurels

  • just amazing

  • I'm happy roger left the band, if he hadn't there would be no Division Bell, pink Floyds's best album. the more roger took control of the band, the less soulful and heartfelt and pinkfloydy they albums became.

  • so, you just don't like "Animals" and "The Wall"...wich were created mainly by waters.

I admit "The Final Cut" is not a great album (imho)..

  • All the best songs in those albums had David Gilmour in the credits.

Animals without Dogs isn't very good.

I hardly need to mention Comfortably Numb, eh?

Sorrow is one of my favourite Floyd songs.

  • the wall live version '79-80 is the best! :O

  • The ending just doesn't sound right without Roger

  • They also are paid by Roger when Roger plays Time, Great gig in the sky, Breathe, Confortably Numb, Wish you were here.

The Pulse and DSOT tours were very profitable for Waters too.

  • waters is a legend, no pink floyd without him...

  • gilmours voie comparesmutch better to pink floyds songs!!!

  • Rogers isnt Floyd, Syd had his era, Waters his, now it was everyone elses'. That being Gilmour, Mason and Wright.

  • Gilmour is a great vocalist and musician...He made Division bell that,in my opinion, is one of the best PF albums.

Better than Final Cut that's for sure

  • I said "in my opinion".... Rolling Stone has a different opinion...for me The Final Cut is a good album, but nothing more

  • Final Cut is pretty much a Roger Waters solo album. I myself like David's solo's and voice better than Roger's solo stuff. Roger is a great conceptualist and writer, but it was David's voice and guitar work that made Pink Floyd

  • don't tell me you got your musical tastes reading "The Rolling Stone"! lol

  • divsion bell is a great album and so is amused to death - we are lucky to have both albums

  • Who starts singing at about 3:53 on the PULSE CD? Does anyone know? I wish it had been on the DVD...

  • That was Jon Carin.Fantastic singer and musician..

  • Hey, thanks! That is who I thought it was, I just wasn't sure.

  • I don't know what anyone else reckons, but I prefer the pulse version to the original

  • I thought Gilmour didn't have the rights to this song . . .

  • each member had to pay £800 (it could b american dollars but im not sure) whenever they would play or do anything related to the wall the final cut or the pigs theme. i believe animals is another thing they had to pay for also but im not sure.

  • Good deal considering the 100s of millions they made on tour. Too bad Roger's such a megalomaniac it cost him in so many ways.

  • He doesn't he only has 3 songs on "The Wall", but they pay Roger so much for evry song Roger has the rights.

  • I was very suprised that they didn't include this on the PULSE dvd.

  • I know - unbelievable. Big disappointment.

  • Probably would have to pay Rogers a fortune. Fuck that.

  • Pretty cool

  • awesome may fit as well

  • the best band ever

  • hey you..... :)

  • is there any one out there

  • Although Post-water's floyd performance of The Wall Material (Hey You, Another Brick 2, Comfortly Numb, Run Like Hell) doesn't have all the shit roger's berlin had, it still kicks ass.

  • Always wondered who sang the last bit on the Pulse CD... great vid!

  • GREAT CLIP!! I thought the only place I was ever gonna see "Hey You" again was in my memory. I was at the July 1 show in Winnipeg...anyone have any clips from Canadian shows???

  • what live is this? Pulse?? I have that on DVD. Why isnt this track on it?

  • if this is not in earls court, it didnt get on. they were all from ealrs court.

  • Even though Roger Waters is the absolute shit of all-time I'd still say this version rocks. Its too bad Waters isn't playing Hey You on his Dark Side of the Moon tour in either 2006 or here in 2007.

  • he isn't playing nobody home either, i saw him in sept. 06 in massachusetts, and there was a concert again in mass in july 07 but i didn't go cuz i was almost positive it would be the exact same set list

  • Yeah Rogers unfortunately been playing the same set every single night of the tour.

  • this song is sick and so is pink floyd

  • April 14?

  • That's great....perfect video

  • Thanks everyone for the comments. I WILL post more clips from this concert soon. I havent forgotten you guys that asked for more. Thanks for being patient.

  • Beautiful song...It's maybe the second best rock song ever. The Best is Stairway to Heaven from Zeppelin

  • This is great! Not meaning to be a heathen but I kinda prefer the Pulse version to the Wall version, Sorry! Not dissing Roger or anything. Pity this isn't on the dvd. Cheers for posting buddy.

  • type "Paul carrack" into search and hear how this song should be sung.

  • listened to it but tbh gilmours voice fits this song a lot better

  • What's the date of the performance this song if from?

  • I do believe April 14 1994

  • kinda blasphemous playing this without Roger, dont you think?

  • Nope

  • Hell no. You might as well say that about Genesis playing without Peter Gabirel. O_O

  • excellent!

  • ...Also, carlosariars, if you check out the AOL Music Sessions site and look under artist David Gilmour, you will see his "On An Island" studio sessions and discover better footage of Jon Carin --and the rest of the band for that matter.

  • Yes, carlosariars, that IS Jon Carin solo there --one of his few well known live solo bits....you can check him out singing solo a good portion of "Dogs" in Roger Waters' In The Flesh tour 1999 VHS --he does Gilmour proud there. Also does a notable job harmonizing in 'Comfortably Numb' and 'High Hopes', btw.

  • I didn't know a video of Hey You live from 1994 existed! Wow. I was surprised to see Jon Carin singing Roger's final stanza. I knew he harmonizes with Gilmour here, but in the video it seems that Carin's singing alone. Thank you for posting this great video!

  • add more please lots more thanks

  • this is from pulse right?

  • come on they played it a lot as well as astronomy domine. Those 2 songs must have been included, they were on the cd as well.

  • Thanks for the comments. I might just add more from the concert if there is more interest. Thanks again.

  • hey thanx for another great video...is it posible to bye a copy of this concert?keep on sending more

  • I never knew they played that one! Nice surprise. Thanks alot!

  • Great!
