there are a few videos where the rotors on some helis look like they arent moving at all, just because the ratio of frames to revolutions makes it seem that way :)

The fire extinguisher is a safety precaution. The EGT's on them can catch grass on fire...also, in the event of a crash, sometimes they fireball big time. When and if the Kerosene hits the turbines tailpipe....it usually goes POOF in a rather spectacular fashion.

I'm pretty sure that the camcorder shutter speed caused the effect. The speed that the shutter was firing matched the speed that the rotor was spinning. The effect works much like a strobe shined on a fan or wheel.

the reason why the turbine gives it more speed and power is because the model is bigger they only use turbine on igger models to get them up in the air

no, actually it's not that easy to understand, the exhaust gas is not used as extra thrust here, they use the jet engine as a "rotary engine" only "rotary" power(which drives the main and tail rotor) is used. If it was a car engine it would be just the muffler tip.
