I also can't understand none of them tells the whole story. I don't know exactly what happend and Russia surly is also to blame, but as althergreat214 said, the Georgians attacked first. Why don't they mention the new US Missle System stationed in Poland, which is a provocation to Russia and also the decision in the Kosovo question against Russia - don't get on the way to a new cold war!!!!

RUSSIA DID NOT ATTACK GEORGIA.

Georgia attacked South Ossetia, a separatist area in Georgia. Russia came to defend the South Ossetians after Georgia heavily bombed the city of Tskhinvali, killing many civilians. Most likely, Russia was also acting in self-interest because they would like South Ossetia to join Russia. Currently, North Ossetia is a part of Russia and ethnically related to South Ossetia.

So yes, they're both wrong about Russian Aggression...it's more like Russian Opportunism.

you're absolutley right! finally someone says it!! BUT Russia also wanted the oil pipeline that runs through georgia, which is also russian opportunism. they want to get their hands on as much oil as possible. which is exactly why people havent heard the truth. the media wants to make russia look like the bad guy so there is reason to hate russia, besides the fact that they now control much of middle eastern natural resources that we originally wanted, which is why we went into iraq.
