Ok, Bublé has a great voice, but he makes Leonard Cohen's song sound kind of pussy. Every time I hear the original version it's like "wow! This is a MAN I really want to be mine". Bublé just seems clingy (to me).
Buble is better live and intimate. I used to go and see him when he played at Babalu's, a bar in Vancouver, before he got famous ('97ish? At a $7 cover charge!), and what stood out and packed the house every week even though he was just some random guy singing at a bar, was his INCREDIBLE stage presence. Once you've seen him like that, where you could just walk up to the stage and chat with him between sets, I can't get excited about his big concerts or his recordings. It's just not as good.

Very touching and very private, intimate song of Cohen. It's performed very well, Michael has got the gift of singing, but there's something missing IMO. He just sang it, and Cohen didn't sing this song, he revealed a part of his soul by singing. Still nice version, though.

Bublé is cool, and he does some nice renditions. But this song needs a little more, testicular fortitude. When Cohen sings this song it sounds more like, look I don't have time to bullshit, I got experience I and I know what you want. Cohen is the man

@brownrevolution I pretty much agree with you. I love Michael Buble and I prefer his voice over many singers, but compared to how the master that is Cohen sings it, Michael Buble sounds like he is begging and throwing out random suggestions, instead of Cohen knowing what you want, like you said. I still think its a good cover, but yeah, its a different song this way
