  • R.I.P Harry,

i am sooo proud of my Big Brother he was one of the coffin bares

  • I wonder how many of these hipsters, emo's, punks, fashionistas, or whatever, actually know what happened back than. I'm 23 years old and I feel bothered by so much ignorance and lack of knowledge of this part of history that changed the world.

  • Very inappropriate to have that ad at the front of this video...

  • British, American, French, Canadian, Australian, Belgian, even German... all of Western European stock--did we not all stand at attention and salute when first we saw this? God bless Harry Patch and all his comrades--and God have mercy on us all. Pray for us, fallen heroes.

  • 0.58 Marcus Trescothick. Nice to see him pay respect, maybe some of our better paid footballers could learn a thing or two from our veterans (I know it's clichéd, but still)...

  • @eo227 don't be silly, they're too busy trying to get their names in the papers for more money and fame. Give them 5 minutes on the Front before they turn into whimpering wrecks.

  • so sad to see that fucking bastards who are interviewed in this clip say" wed have no freedom if it wasnt for them" "they died for freedom" THEY DIED FOR NOTHING, NOTHING AT ALL,MILLIONS DIED FOR NOTHING,NO REASON WHATSOEVER ,ALL PAWNS BEING PLAYED BY ROTTEN MILITARY ELITE AND SHAMEFULLY WEAKWILLED MEN WHO RAN COUNTRIES,harry knew this and would be apalled to hear people talking shit, makes me sick, rip harry at least ya told the truth about war.

  • @andrewkenworthy

if it wasn't for him and the millions of other allied soldiers that died in WW1+2 we'd all be speaking German now you retard!

  • @phucoff1 english comes from german you fucking retard : -)

  • @Che870 so sad that that is the story youve been told, the old line, youd be speaking german right now, maybe ,and mayber my country would be better off,but anyway thats nonsense, they died for NOTHING,NOTHING AT ALL,fuck germany and britain didnt even want a war, go back and read your history books!

  • @andrewkenworthy

Che870 isboth! an IRA supporter and a hysterical anti British hater! he is well ballanced indvidual as he has chips on both shoulders, glad to see though that the owner of this upload has treated his remarks with the contempt they deserve and deleted them.!

Perhaps now he will crawl back under the stone/bog that he came from!

  • @Che870 No that's not true...

  • @flearis yes it is :)

  • @andrewkenworthy Great to see your comment, those people who thought they died for freedom are the same kind of poeple responsible for the war, ..they were truly sick

  • its kinda shit she talks over his last post.. so so shit

  • see you in the eternity mate

  • Disgraceful that Mr Patch's funeral was so far down the news that day. His message was a powerful one and the sacrifice and suffering of his peers that he represented with such dignity is one that I am eternally grateful for. May you find peace now you have rejoined your fallen comrades.

  • well people like they said now there is no one left to tell the stories of the western front

  • the end

  • R.I.P Harry

  • Nah. We are fucked. See how ITN uses "the public voice" as an instrument to keep us herded in the direction of war. See 1.55- 2.06. Its about human sacrifice for "our freedom". More War is good say ITN.

Mr. PAtch will be turning in his grave already. All those deaths are for "our freedom".

Fuck I wish I could think straight. Rest in Peace, everyone who died ( and are dying and will die )in the name of political/religious gain.

  • @kaktisbalaktikakel If you can't think straight you ought to say nothing.

  • R.I.P Harry Patch ..thank you for your service and the sacrifices you made so we can live in peace

God bless you and the rest of the tommies, you have all earned my respect

    Gone but not forgotten xx

  • We are living in peace. The Middle East... a different story >>>>?????

The lesson of history is that we never learn from history.

  • lovely video and nice commentary. Good work ITN news. The Lord Jesus Christ bless you. Amen.

    john o'rourke

    sligo

  • why the hell is michael jackson's funeral getting more press than harry's?!

  • rest in peace harry

  • Thank you Harry - the end of an era. I've read the biography, 'The Last Fighting Tommy' - well worth a read. RIP

  • R.I.P. and THANK YOU so much for your service!

  • From an American and veteran; Good journey, Harry Patch. Your friends and comrades are there waiting to greet you. You did your duty out of love for your country and all free people can admire and respect you.

  • R.I.P.Harry thank you and all the tommies for the sacrifice they made so we can live in peace. GOD BE WITH YOU ALL.

  • A fitting tribute to a great Man...sorry i couldnt be there Harry,we emigrated to NZ 6 months ago.Hope you got our Birthday Card though in June. At peace now,no more burden to shoulder. You and the rest of the Tommies-will never be forgotten. At Rest.

  • R.I.P Harry Patch. He gets the utmost respect from me.

  • 6 members of the 1st Battalion The RIFLES, currently stationed in chepstow.

    An honour

  • RIP Harry Patch. Thank you for your message of peace.

  • How wonderful that two soldiers of the French, Belgian AND German armies were in attendance. Mr. Harry Patch you should be remembered as a true example of how peace and reconciliation can happen on an individual level. For someone of my generation, having a German at my funeral would not have much meaning as I only know them as friends. For you, having seeing your comrades being killed by German bullets & artillery all around you, this took enormous courage. Peace can prevail.

  • @anjonjp Actually the soldiers on the ground really didn't have much enmity against each other, they were just soldiers doing their jobs.

  • i was there. so sad. from memory to history.

  • RIP Harry....the reporter got it abit wrong though, the coffin was carried by 6 members of The Rifles, the French, Belgian and German soldiers were behind...
