Your glove hand is killing me. Instead of turning your body back towards the net to catch the puck, try reaching out in front of your body. Its easier to track the puck that way too. Your movement in the net seems kind of lethargic and uninspired. You definitely have potential though. Just keep working on your fundamentals and movement. Just have fun out there and play hard. You might end up playing at the Collegiate level. What I've seen from this video your not quite AAA or A material yet.
I'm a girl goalie from New Zealand, I'm 15 turning 16 in march next year, i got the best stats at nationals this year in open womens and in U16s and I'm really keen to find a goalie camp in Canada i can go to next year, hoping for a scholarship to go overseas eventually, any recommendations on a camp that would be good to go to for someone coming over from overseas for a week or two?
@TheeGoalie This is not a Canadian hockey camp but it's called Elite Hockey Training Centers staged in either Vermont or New Hampshire in the USA. Those two states are right under Quebec, Canada. It's a summer camp and I go their from Florida and it's the best camp ever. You'd really enjoy it. Theres female camp and boys camps and the females is fast paced and you are worked just as hard as the boys on and off ice. It's a sleepaway camp for either 1 week or 2 weeks. Check out their website.
Just wondering though are there any like professional Canadian womens hockey leagues? Cause once I pass college hockey I want to play proffesional womens hockey or just a high ranked womens hockey league.
@KeybladeMaster035 Well most universities only choose goalies at Midget AA or senior AAA (girls equivalent of junior hockey) levels but I believe out west in Canada there is a professional women's league but you only get payed enough to support your family, no million dollar pay checks.
@GirlGoalie890 ohh belive me i kno all about the politics , but i think u shouls rly think about playing girls hockey just for the experience annd bonding wit the girls plus if u wanna play higher levels like prep uni or even provincal its gonna have to be wit girls , unlesss its diff were u live
1) You seem to bring your glove back when catching, try to keep it out in front so it's easier to catch.
2) I saw was that sometimes you stick lagged behind when you would do a butterfly slide.
3) Around 4:07 you would kinda skate back then pivot to do the butterfly slide, you should always identify where the shooter is with your head and with your stick and gloves, pivot then butterfly slide to the shooter.
Otherwise nice job in net and keep up the good work

come out of the crease more, get up on the right leg when u slide, and keep ur body stiff when u slide. other than tht great job :)
