I had a look at your schematics and I noticed that you have the push button switches signal lines floating (unconnected in limbo between 5volts and ground) when the switch is not pressed. This is not acceptable, you better connect the signal to 5volts.
@miro2424 haha, keen observation! i agree that would be a serious problem if it weren't for the fact that i'm using the ATmega328's internal pullup resistors activated in firmware. set the pinMode() of an I/O pin to INPUT, then immediately write a HIGH to it with digitalWrite(). it will pull the pin high, but in a high impedance mode so you can still pull it low through a switch. there's no need for current protection as long as you're careful and never put that pin in a low impedance mode! ;?)

I should have a case via sketch up by Friday. I also have autocad for you plus a for dummies book to go with it. It's a PITA but if you want it.....
