@tabtiff it's from resident evil 4. in the very begginning of the game it's leg is caught in a trap and if you choose to free it, it returns to help you later in the game when you get ready to fight the first giant. It acts as a distraction for you and giant goes after it instead of focusing on you

@Hieisangel I REMEMBER that my uncle was playing the game and one of my other uncles said " You see that wolf there?" and the one playing the game said "Yeah" and the other one said "Free it" and the other one said "Why?" and the other one said "Just do it" and he did release it and it ran off and he said "What was the point of that?" (I think thats how it went but I didn't see the bit where it comes back)
