hay i wont to learn how to make textures in gimp for blender any one got any links to help i would like to no how to make grass stone stuff like that

Grass would be a function of Blender particles, and there are lots of tutorials for that. Stone could be done with the plasma filter and normal mapping turned on in Blender. Another possibility would be to simply take a picture of stone with a digicam and use that for a texture.
